Chapter Nine: We Are Just Friends

Freen POV

As soon as I've arrived home, I immediately push my heels aside before running towards my bedroom. I change my clothes into a comfortable one.

I go to the kitchen and take some cold water from the fridge.

I looked for my phone to call dad about what he said the last time we talked.

Flashback

"Freen, I saw how you stare at becky last night." he sighs deeply. "I don't want to see you crying again because of her, princess."

Both my parents saw how I cry everyday when I let Becky go.

At first, my father was furious at Becky and wanted to take down all of Armstrong's company but my mother helped me convince him that what I did is better than still living with Becky without love and respect.

"if she hurt you again this time princess, I can't-"

"Don't worry dad, I will make sure that this time, I'll make everything just to make her fall for me. Maybe I'm wrong when I let her go in the past, but I won't do that mistake again."

"but what if she still can't love you back ?" my father ask.

That question make me think deeply. What would I do if that case happen ?

My father look at me and held my hand. "Your mother and I will always be happy for you and proud of every decision you make, but princess, when we see you sad and crying, the pain is double for us."

I hug him tight. I really am thankful that God gave me parents like them.

"I promise dad, I won't let myself hurt this time. I will win Becky's heart." I said to him while crying.

End of flashback

"Yes princess" I heard dad on the other line. "do you need something ? why the sudden call ?" there's a hint of  worry in his voice.

"Can we make a business proposal for the RA company dad ?"

I'm planning on making business with Becky. That way, she can't ignore me like what she's doing for almost two weeks now. After the anniversary party of my parents, she starts avoiding me. Every time that I go to her office, her secretary always says that she's in a meeting or she's not available at the moment. I also try to go in her condo but she's always not there, or maybe she's there but don't want to see me.

This business proposal is my chance to make her talk to me.

"what kind of business proposal do you want princess?" dad ask.

"anything dad" I tried to think what is the best proposal to make. "what about the designing of one of our new building near the City ?"

I heard dad sighs. "okay, let me think about it princess. That project has already been settled with Nam's company. we just need to sign the contract."

"That would not be a problem dad, I can talk to Nam about this."

Becky POV

I have a meeting now with the Chankimha's, They propose something that is hard to refuse. I enter the huge building and take the lift. I need to go to the twenty seventh floor where the CEO's office is located.

At first, I didn't want to accept their offer but it's too tempting. Chankimha group is one of the biggest companies here in Thailand and also has branches worldwide.

But in exchange for accepting their offer, there's also a big chance that I will bump into Freen anytime soon. After all, this company is owned by her father and she's also working here.
