Y/N POV

I am currently on my way to Gwen's school as my father was about to leave for work we got a call from the school, as our father couldn't pick her up from school here I was, it had started raining a moment before I left so I brought my coat and Gwen a coat, my coat has small trans flags on it as a representation of me being trans, I quickly pull into my sisters school throwing her coat over my shoulder as I run up to the schools front doors pressing the button for the intercom 'Hello how can I help you?' The receptionist's voice played through "I'm here to pick up my student" I answered rocking back and forth on my heels before hearing a buzz followed by the doors unlocking. I opened the door quickly entering the warm building, walking up to the front desk ignoring the stares I was getting, it happens every time I'm here, making it to the front desk the woman stared at me Gwen beside her in a chair along for two other students "Who are you here for?" The Receptionist asked motioning to the multiple kids in chairs waiting to be picked up "Gwen, Gwen Stacy" I answer awkwardly as Gwen shot up realising I was here "Well sir I hope yo-" the woman was cut off by Gwen butting in "Actually it's 'Ma'am' not sir" she corrected making me smile at her sweetly giving her a thumbs up "Whatever, sir I hope you understand why Miss. Stacy needed to be picked up" The woman continued making Gwen scoff I grabbed my wrist digging my nails into the skin, trying to avoid conflict, as I stand awkwardly "I do understand she was suspended for an argument" I answer handing Gwen her coat off my shoulder to which she quickly put it on and hugged my arm "Thanks for picking me up Y/N, didn't want ISS" Gwen sighed glaring at the transphobic woman in front of us
"erm well, I would appreciate it if you could call me Ma'am as I'm not a guy"
I correct her as I turn around about to leave "Men pretending to be women don't count as women" she retorts making Gwen turn around with anger in her eyes, I put my hand on her shoulder turning her around "Ignore it Gwendy" I smile at her reassuringly trying to calm her down as we walk out the building where are few hand full of students were eating their lunch "No it's not cool to say shit like that!" Gwen argues using her arms to motion in the direction the woman was, the few kids that were outside now had their attention on us as we walked down the stairs to get to the parking lot, I was about half way down before I was shoved the rest of the way down, falling into a puddle, groaning at impact "Tranny!" He shouted at me I Grab Gwen's wrist and walked faster to my car

Hearing slurs being yelled at me left and right as I get Gwen in my car, before getting in myself, driving off before anyone can throw things at my car "Y/N I could've handled that!" Gwen shouts, not like I'm listening to her I just keep driving home, I stop at a red light bouncing my leg "And don't act like I don't see the way you picked at your wrist!" Gwen scolded from the passenger seat I only side-eye her if I completely look at her I'll break down "Y/N..." I feel a hand on my leg, holding my leg down, I drive into a star bucks parking lot, looking over at her tears rolling down my face "You have to promise you didn't do it again" Gwen looked at me I nodded with a smile
"I promise you I didn't Gwen" I say offering her my wrists, which she gladly checked hugging me when she realized I was telling the truth "Now you have to tell me that secret Gwendy" I nudge her reminding her of her promise she nods

"You can't tell anyone not even dad" she says sternly as she grabs my shoulders I nod, taking off my jacket she backs up from me "I'm... Spider-woman" she blurts out making me giggle she looked at me her face saying 'you think I'm crazy' but I just kept laughing until my stomach hurt "that is not a secret I already knew" I say leaning against my steering wheel she covered her face in emberrassment "was it that obvious?!" I just nod at her she groans "wanna tell me what happened at school?" She laughs awkwardly looking at me "Guys we're talking about you, and I got pissed and warned them to stop talking about you, they didn't, so I knocked some sense into em" she explains with little hand gestures "Gwen dads gonna kill you" we argue about it for a moment but we end up laughing about it together
