I wrote this in an effort to capture the horrible feeling of being constantly left in the dark in my memory. The only things I can remember and recall easily are the bad parts of my life, whereas the good bits are right out of reach.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whisper softer, sweet girl, words and sounds of my mind.
Blow breaths of comforting commemoration into my ready ears.
Let these pearls of memory trail down the window of my heart.'
Leave never so soon kind elf, slight recollection, leave me not with the fog of oblivion.
But if you do, mischievous imp, take the leaves of fallen grief with you.
Take my forsaken joy, but take too, the burning remains of my charred soul.
Take my memory, take that gift of dewy remembrance back, if you must.
But don't leave me alone, with only misery retained.

It's a short one but I like the alliteration... the word choices could be improved though.
