New York

Several months later

Gwen Stacy just returned back to her home through the fire escape that connects to the living room. She wasn't in the greatest of moods after she left band practice. Her thoughts has clouded her brain from the feeling of loneliness that she had wanted to see everyone- Peter B, Penni, Noir, Peter Porker, (Y/N), and... Miles.
Her dad, Captain Stacy, was cooking in the kitchen area. However, he already felt Gwen's arrival. "Oh! Hey!" He greeted her before he set some dishes down on the counter. "How was band?" He asked.
"Oh, yeah, great. I just quit, so... you know. Thumbs up." She replied, not even looking at her father. She opened the door to her bedroom and placed her backpack down. Captain Stacy stood at her doorway, sighed a little, and a thought popped in his head.
"We caught on something with the Spiderwoman case." He said, hoping it would lift her spirits up a little.
"Oh. That's... good." Gwen replied, not even paying attention. She was setting some things and reorganizing her closet.

"We're close. I'm telling ya, I can feel it." He continued on as he opened the bedroom door more. Gwen cleared her throat and continued on.
"Same here." She said.

"It'll be good for us." Her father said, his smile disappeared.
"Don't be so sure." She said instantly.
"She murdered your friend." He said.
"You don't know that." Gwen argued.
"What do you mean 'I don't know that'? I do know that. Y'know, I was there. She ran from the scene." He argued back.
"Maybe she didn't have a choice." Gwen stated, making a point.
"I've got a job to do, Gwen."
"It won't bring him back!" She snapped. Silence filled between them, Captain Stacy sighed.
"I don't want to argue about this. Okay?"
"Yeah, I can tell." Gwen said.

More silence filled between them. Captain Stacy had let out a huge sigh, frustration wasn't even present. It wasn't easy having to raise a teenager in a single-parent household. "Say... too punk rock to give your old man a hug-?" He was cut off when Gwen instantly ran and hugged her father. He was stunned, but he embraced her back. The warm colors around her was starting to appear from the cold blues.
It was soon stopped when the police radio that was placed on the coffee table in the living room filled the room. "All units, superhuman event. Guggenheim Museum, suspect is Adrian Toomes also know to be Vulture..." it said.
"Oh, hey. This could be it." He said as he exited her room. Captain Stacy grabbed his police jacket and radio. "So, I'll see you later?"
Gwen was quiet, still looking down to the floor. "Cool." She sighed to herself. He quickly went through the apartment door. "I'll call!" He said behind him, and the door closed. Leaving his daughter alone.

Gwen went towards her stuffed penguin that was perched on her shelf and zipped it down to where a spare police radio was hidden. She turned the volume up to hear the call.
"...49 currently on scene. It's a real mess down here. We're gonna need all the help we can get here." The radio continued to go on. Gwen looked up, as it was her time to suit up. She opened up her drum set where her suit was hidden, but her hand stopped when she saw the polaroid photo of her and Miles. She moved on, putting on the web slinger around her wrist and then the suit. She went over back to the penguin as another call came through.
"I need you to look alive, there's a good chance that our girl shows up." It was her father's voice. "Tonight's the night we catch Spiderwoman." She turned off the radio.
She jumped out of her bedroom window and swung herself through the city towards the museum.

She landed on top of the building facing the crime scene, helicopters flying around in the air, police cars parked all around, blocking off the citizens from entering the museum.
Captain Stacy exited his police car as he called over the nearest officer. "Fury. Explain to me how a guy with a 40-feet wingspan just waltzed into the Guggenheim Museum unnoticed?" He asked in disbelief.
"Hey, it's New York. Everyone's got their thing." She answered. Right then, an explosion happened in front of them, making the civilians scream and the police duck down. They can all hear a raspy voice saying some words in Italian.
"You know what he wants?" Captain Stacy said to Fury. "You speak Italian?" She replied as if she knew what the answer was.
"Uhhh... I'm an Irish cop." He said. "Maybe you love pasta or something." His coworker continued. They took out their pistols that was inside of the case of their belts as they ducked behind the cars. "Everyone! Get ready!" He shouted to the other officers. "Look out for signs of Spiderwoman!"
Just as he was about to move in, a web shot and wrapped him around and the other policemen, and threw them stuck onto the sides of the police cars. Captain Stacy tried to wriggle himself free until another web shot him to cover his mouth. "Well, we found her." Officer Fury said.
Gwen came down and looked at him as she lowered her voice to not be recognized. "How's the manhunt for me going?" She said. George muffled yells that she was under arrest before she got to the ground and ran inside saying, "Good to know!"
