Ariana stared mindlessly out of the plane window as they approached the landing strip. Her mind was in a frenzy and she wasn't sure what to believe.

Does he know who I am?

Is this whole 'helping' thing a setup to kill me?

She glanced at Von as he looked intently at his phone. "Were you on a job in Atlanta?" Ariana questioned breaking the silence.

Von looked up at her immediately and locked eyes with her. She appreciated how they both naturally preferred eye contact.

"Yeah—well, I was looking fa somebody. I might drop it though cause I don't have time to find foenem"

He answered vaguely, Even though the job was a hefty amount of money, Von had this to tend to. He was willing to let the 5 million go.

"Who?" She asked to see if he would lie. She figured if he didn't know who she was he wouldn't lie, right?

Dayvon raised a brow looking at her. He wondered where all the questions came from. He asked most of the questions the last 2 hours they'd been talking.

He appreciated that she didn't seem to mind, as he tended to question everything in his nature. Deciding to put that trait aside he just answered her

"Some freelancer, named Reaper" he shrugged. When he first arrived in Atlanta, his employer offered him the job and accepted it.

He was supposed to meet someone at Vixen who had a picture of them, but Ari interrupted him.

Von had heard the Reaper was good through the grapevine but it didn't phase him. He liked a challenge.

Ari nodded, noticing he didn't lie, so maybe he was genuine. Von eyed the girl next to him. She'd definitely been acting weird, well weirder the closer they got to Chicago.

It was starting to make the man nervous. Stuff like that gave him set-up vibes. He doubted it was that drastic but he could definitely tell the girl was hiding something.

Since he never held his tongue, he questioned cautiously. "Why? Y'know the nigga or sum?". He had heard the reaper was working out of Chicago so it'd make sense if she knew him.

He hoped she wouldn't have hard feelings. Ari remained quiet looking down at her phone as she weighed her options. He took her silence as a yes seeing she just sat there.

Ari could just tell him the truth. It's not like she didn't hold his contract. Ari couldn't find any real reason to not trust him. If anything he'd been very clear this whole time so why would he do all this just to kill her?
