Another day, another day for teasing that man!
"Bladie! What are you doing?" I snuck up behind him and scared him. He sighed at me but didn't give me that much importance like he used to!
"Bladie?? Why are you texting like your life depends on it? You are still single anyway, hehe, but I'm also single! Well, I was just wondering when you were planning to admit that you have a secret admirer. I mean, it's pretty obvious, right?" Yep, I'm confessing my feelings to him today!
As I playfully teased Blade, enjoying the lighthearted banter, I never anticipated the response that would follow. Blade's words hit me like a tidal wave, crashing over my heart with unexpected force. He reveals that he is no longer single and has a girlfriend. A surge of shock courses through me, leaving me speechless and unable to process the sudden revelation.
"What?"
My initial reaction is a mix of confusion, disappointment, and sadness. The realisation that Blade is gone shatters the flickering hope that had begun to blossom within me. Tears well up in my eyes, betraying the pain that now engulfs my heart. The teasing was my way of expressing my fondness, unaware of the significant developments in Blade's romantic life.
"Huh. You and she are together?"
"Yes. This decision is made. Anyway, I have to go now. I may not come today to spar with you. Hey.. Are you crying?"
"Sure....... Nope, some kind of dust fell into my eyes! I'm so happy for you! Finally, no more edgy dialogues."
"I will go now."
As I waved goodbye, I realised the blade was just walking and started to drift away like a mist. I reached out in alarm to get hold of him but failed in vain.
There seemed to be an invisible wall in front of me, blocking me from taking the first step. This one step was like an unbridgeable gap between us.
This means he will
No longer will he be able to spar with me.
I will no longer be able to tease him.
No longer can I cherish the time we spent together.
The thought that suddenly popped up in my mind became clearer, and I trembled at the great panic.
"No Blade, wait. I.."
As the hazy figure finally dissipated in front of me, so did the happiness.
"Noooooo"
As I woke up, my heart pounded in my chest, still gripped by the emotions of the dream I had just experienced. It felt so real and vivid, as if I had been transported into an alternate reality. In that dream, my crush, Blade, had fallen in love with another woman. The pain and jealousy I felt in that moment were overwhelming.
