The rain poured heavily outside, drenching the deserted streets of Xianzhou Luofu. The air was thick with tension as I stood guard, my eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger. It was a quiet night, or so I thought, until a peculiar man caught my attention.
Dan Heng, a stranger with an air of familiarity, stumbled upon the scene. Lost and confused, he looked at me, his eyes widening with recognition. I hesitated, uncertain of his intentions, but something in his expression tugged at my heart. There was a desperate plea in his gaze, and I decided to stay by his side.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Blade, an old friend turned criminal in Luofu. I could feel the weight of the past bearing down upon us as he confronted me. Next to Blade stood Yanqing, the general Jing Yuan's son-like figure, his eyes filled with fear and confusion.
Blade's voice dripped with accusation. "Tell me about the curse," he demanded, his gaze unwavering. "Tell me why you and me were cursed with immortality."
I clenched my fists, memories flooding back. "Blade, please, you have to understand," I pleaded, my voice shaking with emotion. "It wasn't our choice. We didn't ask for this curse."
Blade laughed cruelly, his eyes glinting with malice. Without warning, he lunged at Dan Heng, his intentions clear. Instinct took over, and I rushed to shield him, pushing Blade back with all my might. The fight ensued, the clash of steel and the cries of struggle filling the air.
As the battle raged on, my heart ached for Dan Heng, for he was not merely a stranger lost in time. He was my lover, the dragon who had been banished from Luofu long ago. With every blow Blade landed, it felt as if it was my beloved who was suffering.
But then, the unthinkable happened. Blade's blade found its mark, plunging into Dan Heng's chest. Time stood still as I watched in horror, my eyes widening in disbelief. Blade sneered, his voice filled with sadistic triumph. "Witness, my dear, witness the fact that this unknown man is your past lover and a old dear friend."
My mouth fell open, and tears welled up in my eyes. It couldn't be true. I staggered towards Dan Heng, falling to my knees beside him. "No," I whispered, my voice choked with sorrow. "No, my love..."
In that moment, a mixture of grief and joy overcame me. Blade's revelation confirmed what my heart had always known. I had found my lover once more. With tear-streaked cheeks, I looked up at him, my voice barely above a whisper. "I found you," I murmured, my voice filled with relief and love.
Blade, his purpose seemingly served, turned his attention to Yanqing. Panic washed over me as I saw the danger in his eyes. "Blade, if you harm Yanqing, I will never forgive you!" I shouted, my voice laced with determination.
To my surprise, Blade merely smiled, nodded, and swiftly retreated into the shadows. Left alone with my wounded lover, I cradled his broken form in my arms, my heart breaking with each labored breath he took. I knew I had to protect him, to keep him safe at all costs.
Yanqing approached cautiously, his eyes filled with anger and betrayal. "You... How could you?" he cried, his voice trembling. "You were like a mother to me, and now you've betrayed us all! you know about these two mens a lot!"
Tears streamed down my face as I reached
out to him, my voice filled with remorse. "Yanqing, please understand," I pleaded, my voice raw with emotion. "I had no choice. I had to protect him, the one I love."
Yanqing's anger turned into anguish, his voice breaking. "Then go, and never come back!" he exclaimed, his words a painful knife to my heart. "You were like a mother to me, but now... now I wish I never knew you."
His words pierced through me, and I knew the price I had paid for my love. But as I turned to Dan Heng, my heart heavy with sadness, I knew that we had each other. Through the pain and the trials, we would face the world together.
I gazed into his eyes, grief and determination etched on my face. And then, with a mix of despair and hope, I leaned in and kissed him gently. "This time," I whispered against his lips, my voice trembling. "This time, if we are banished again, we will go anywhere... as long as we're together."
In that moment, the world faded away, and all that mattered was the love we shared, defying time and fate. And so, with the rain as witness to our reunion, we clung to one another, vowing to face whatever lay ahead, united in our immortal love.
