That concludes The Red Queen.
This was my last only-TVDU fic before we move on to my last fic for the fandom that also serves as a crossover and segue into what comes next. Honestly, a little sad for me but it had to come to an end sometime. I started writing TVDU fanfic in November of 2020 and have made soooo many fics since then, it's insane. It's time to move on, and I'm glad Vivalda was one of the last ones I got to develop.
I very much liked writing this story. It was fun to explore a poly relationship, and I honestly really liked how it turned out. There wasn't much need for conflict because Vivalda had already dealt with that before the story even began. I think the ending is fitting; I was trying to avoid angst because I didn't think it would work out. I wanted everyone to get their happy ending, more or less. I hope you all liked it.
Vivalda was a fun character to write. I loved seeing all your reactions to her. Some of you were very fond of how wild she was, others were surprised. I enjoyed every second of it, and am so appreciative of all your input along the way as she (and I!) learned what it was like to be in love with two people at the same time. Lucien and Tristan are such interesting characters to me and it was such fun to explore them like this.
Without further ado, my last TVDU fic is up on my profile, titled 'Perzys Āeterña | Hope Mikaelson.'
