~Ellie Reynolds~
I guess my mom and Aunt Maddie planned this a long time. They told me where the hidden key was like they knew that Aunt Maddie wasn't going to be here.
It was in some flower pots. Nice hiding spot.
I opened the door and it was so beautiful inside. I brought all my luggages inside and I was too tired to bring them upstairs. I went around looking for the living room.
When I found it my mouth dropped. It's about three or four times the size of my living room at home. I'm starting to like it here a little.
I was staring so hard that I didn't notice a boy standing behind me.
"Excuse me?" He said loudly and I turned around so quick.
Who is this? Oh my God is he a robber or a murderer? Why is there a teenage boy here?
When I came here I expected to be hugging Aunt Maddie, not staring hard at some boy. A cute boy might I add..
You know that moment when your'e panicking so you just stay still, don't speak, and look stupid?
Well, that's how I looked right now. Then I snapped back into reality, I was still panicking though.
"Who are you?" I spoke when I finally found my voice. I gave myself a mental pat on the back for saying with a straight and confident voice.
"You're really going to ask me that? Who are you?"
"Your'e the one breaking into someones house."
"Oh really? And how would you know that? I lived here all my life and all of a sudden you show up out of nowhere with badly dressed clothes and a thousand suitcases in my neighbors house."
Badly dressed? Okay that hurt my feelings, but I didn't show it.
"This is my Aunt Maddie's house okay? I just came from New York and she knew she wasn't going to be here so she put some keys in a hiding spot and that's how I got in." I said quietly looking away.
"Oh your'e Ellie."
No i'm not Ellie. I'm just a random stranger showing up with suitcases.
I looked at him, rolled my eyes and went upstairs, deciding to go in my room. I wanted to look for my room by myself.
That guy was probably here to show me around but honestly I didn't want any of his help. I went upstairs and looked around. It wasn't hard to find it. The door with 'Ellie' really gave it away. I walked in my room and it was white. Everything was white.
How did she know white was my favorite color?
When I walked further into my room I noticed how big it actually was.
There was a bathroom, queen sized bed, a desk, and a balcony. I walked to the balcony and opened the doors, and what I saw was a the beach, and a beautiful view.
My room was the size of my living room back at home. This is the best.
I went downstairs to bring all of my suitcases upstairs. I was really struggling. Maybe next time when I go somewhere I wont bring this many suitcases.
"You need help?"
I turned around when I was half up the stairs and the voice came from that boy.
What is he still doing here?
"Not from you." I said coldly.
He shrugged and walked back to the living room I'm guessing. He should go home.
Once I got all of my things upstairs (It took about 20 minutes just to bring up suitcases up the stairs) I jumped in my bed. Literally. I was really sleeping on clouds. Or at least that's what it felt like.
"Hey sleeping beauty, okay maybe your not any of the beauty but come downstairs." An annoying voice interrupt my peaceful cloud moment.
This guy is annoying and rude. I really hope I wont have to be dealing with this all summer. Because if I do, then I already cant take it and I'm done.
I walked downstairs to a surprise. Aunt Maddie. I don't seem that excited because honestly I barely know her. I only met her once or twice I was ten. But from what I know shes pretty cool and it wont be hard to like her.
"Hi Aunt Maddie." I ran to her and hugged her. Aunt Maddie was light skinned and had short hair. She was gorgeous, but single. I really cant believe that she's single.
"Oh my god, you've gotten so big Ellie. And how many times do I have to tell you to call me Maddie. Aunt Maddie makes me feel and sound old." She hugged me back and laughed.
Didn't I say she was cool? I already like her.
"Oh and I've seen you and Luca have met each other already."
"Who?" I asked confused.
"That would be me." The mean boy who called me names within five minutes of meeting me came out of no where. Oh so he's Luca.
What a nice name? Too bad it was given to the spawn of the devil.
"Luca is my neighbor and he volunteered to show you around sometime. He lives right next door, and he's been my neighbor for all his life."
All I heard was 'he' and 'volunteered' and 'to show me around sometime'. I refuse to go anywhere with this mean, rude boy.
"I could go by myself."I protested.
"No. I don't want you to get lost in this big city. You know what I'll make a deal with you. Tomorrow Luca will take you any where you want to go in the city and then next time you could go by yourself because you'll already know where to go. Okay?" She offered.
"Yes." I said as quickly as possible.
Anything to stay away from him. Of course that will mean tomorrow i'll have to spend sometime with him. But one day is better than the entire summer. Am I right or am I right?
"Okay good, well Luca tomorrow you should be here around noon and you guys will go. And Ellie you should really go to sleep. You look so tired." Maddie rubbed my shoulder.,
"I am tired." I realized how much I lacked sleep, and tomorrow I didn't want to be tired.
"Okay. Well go sleep and if you want dinner then just come downstairs." Maddie went into the kitchen to most likely start dinner.
Luca did not leave. He just stood there and stared at me. It made me uncomfortable because I really did not find myself pretty and I was really insecure. I mean I was really grateful to have clear skin but I wear glasses, my hair is always in a ponytail, and my sense of fashion is really different.
I wouldn't say its bad, it just really would not be the first choice of anyone. But I liked it and that's all that mattered.
"Honestly the only reason why I volunteered to show you around is because I thought you would be pretty. But I was wrong. If I knew how you looked before I would have never even bothered to ask. " Luca said carelessly.
He said it so casually like it didn't affect him. Well it didn't affect him, it affected me.
It really hurt my feelings and I was going to cry. I was going to cry and I knew I wasn't going to be able to stop my tears so I turned and ran up the stairs.
I wish I was able to just shake off what he said but I can't because its true. Everything he said was true and I know that.
I ran into my room, closed the door and locked it. Because honestly it would really be embarrassing to have to explain to someone that you are crying because your not pretty.
Hey!
Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed it. Vote please!
