Fake Love

Chapter 5

I look around to make sure no one is watching me because the last thing I want right now is to get caught for something that I'm sure my uncle won't forgive.

Luckily no one seems to be around. So I take a quick step towards the door and put the side of my head on it.

There's no voice.
So I wait...
Still no one's talking.
Maybe they have left to talk in the other room or something...

But I'm proved wrong when I hear my uncles voice which is surprisingly so clear from the other side of the door.

"Brian...I think we need to start it as soon as possible." he says and I hear him sigh.

"Liam don't be stupid...after what happened tonight...I hoped you got how dangerous and risky everything is... but you are still acting like you're fucking blind!!!" Brian raises his voice and it made me step backwards.

"Brian lower your voice. you already messed up with mentioning it in front of them." Liam warns him.

"Ok ok...sorry...but Liam please listen to me...this is bigger than everything we've ever done and of course more serious. We both know Harry and we both know that even if he's so young he's still smarter than all of us. We can't just fool him like everyone else." Brian tries to convince Liam and I'm still confused about what they're talking about.

Who's this Harry guy Brian just mentioned?! And what my uncle has to do with him?!
But at the back of my mind I kinda know that he's our next...I mean theirs...

"Bri... you don't understand...I know him more than anyone else and he's up to something and hell I know it!!! We can't just postpone it because he could leave the country or even auction the company any minute!!! I won't risk it nooo I won't..." Liam says and I can say he's beyond mad.

"How do you know?!" Brian asks him.

"Luke told me. he said he keeps telling things like he's tired of his job and shit. We need time for this Brian... and we can't do this anymore with Luke alone. and I assure you that everything is perfectly planned..."

"What about Farren?! How are you gonna tell her?! You know after tonight she won't give in easily..."

"Yeah I know. but she's just scared. she'll give in once I tell her about..." Liam tries to convince Brian but I don't get to hear out the rest of their conversation.

"What are you doing here?!"
I jumped back and turned around once I heard a voice behind me.

"Niall." I say shakily. Looking into his eyes with fear.

" I said what are you doing here?!" He almost yells.

"Shhhh please please Niall they'll hear you!" I beg him but he shakes his head. "are you...gonna tell them?!" I whisper to him with hope.

But He doesn't get the chance to reply because we hear footsteps from the other side of the door and Niall grabs my arm and pulls me behind a large tree, which surprised me cuz I was sure that he would tell them...

The door opens and Liam and Brian get out of it.

"Don't worry about it mate... everything is going to be fine." Liam pats Brian on his shoulder.

"Alright just give her some time to recover. you'll stress her out if you tell her this week." Brian tells Liam.

"We don't have the whole week but alright I'll give her some time." Liam assures him and walks inside.

We stay behind the tree with held breathes and wait for Brian to walk by and leave.

"Oh my god that was close..." I say and release my breath.
