Vincent:
Early the next morning I woke up and started cooking Emily's breakfast. She was sitting in a dining room chair with her hands tied behind her back. "Breakfast is almost ready..." I said, pulling the cheese quiche from the oven. I scooped it onto a plate and set it in front of Emily. "Bon appetite."
She shook her head at me. "I'm not hungry..."
"Don't be silly." I said, taking a seat in the chair next to her. "I heard your stomach growling." I picked up her fork and sliced into the quiche, putting it in front of her mouth. Her lips tightened and she turned her head away. Sighing, I set the fork down and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at me. "I've been cooking for over an hour, the least you can do is try it." Before she could respond, I stuck the piece of egg into her mouth.
But she spit it out onto my face before she even had the chance to taste them.
I calmly picked up her napkin and wiped my face. "Stop acting like a child." I said, cutting into the quiche again. "You need to eat."
My fists clenched when she spit the eggs out again. Why was she being so difficult!? I was offering her a delicious breakfast and she was acting like a little brat!
"You're going to eat!" I pried her mouth open and forced another piece of egg inside. She started to spit them back out but I quickly put my hand over her mouth. "Swallow!"
She looked at me like a frightened child as she swallowed the eggs. I gave her a few more bites, making sure she swallowed each one before releasing her. "There now..." I said, wiping my hands with a napkin. "That wasn't so bad, was it?"
Emily closed her eyes and turned away from me. A tear streamed down her perfect cheek. "No no no, don't cry!" I said, wrapping my arms around her. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!"
She pulled away from me. "Just leave me alone! Please!"
"I-I said I was sorry..."
Why was she acting like I was some sort of monster?

Emily:
My tied hands trembled behind my back as Vincent walked away from me, leaning his palms against the kitchen wall. He was pissed at me for not wanting to eat his stupid breakfast. But what did he expect!? Did he really think I was just going to act like nothing was out of the ordinary? I was being held here against my will!
Even so, I knew that it was probably stupid to push my luck with him. He was clearly unstable. I mean, the guy thinks he loves me! We've only known each other for a few weeks, and in those few weeks he'd hardly said a word to me. The whole situation is beyond creepy! All I know is, I have to get the hell out of here before he really becomes unglued.
"Vincent..." I said quietly. He turned around and looked at me with a broken smile. "I need to go to the restroom."
"Of course!" He ran behind me and started to untie my hands. When he finished he grabbed my arm and started leading me down the hall. "Take your time." I thanked him and walked inside of the bathroom.
My heart sank when I saw that there were no windows to climb out of. How was I going to get out of here now?
Then, I turned my attention to the mirror above the sink.
If I shattered the glass, I could stab him and make a run for it! It was risky, no doubt, but I had to try something! I picked up a bathroom towel and wrapped it around my hand. Then I punched the mirror, watching as shards of glass fell into the sink.
"Emily!" Vincent cried from outside the door. "What's going on in there!?" The door knob started to twist and I secured a big piece of glass in my hand. When he opened the door, I was going to jam it into his neck....
