Juliana "Jewel" and Dorian are two freshmen embarking on a journey of self-discovery and growth at two of Georgia's most prestigious HBCUs (Spelman University and Moorehouse College). With their pasts looming over them (ex. Cheating, miscarriage, death, etc) they are both determined to make something of themselves and be the best versions of themselves. Juliana's ex-boyfriend, Nico, also attends Moorehouse. This makes for an awkward situation, as Juliana and Nico were once very close. On the other hand, Dorian's parents are pressuring him to marry Regina Lockwood in order to benefit their family business. Will Juliana and Dorian be able to move past the obstacles in their way and find a way to be together? Along the way, they learn important life lessons and gain strength and understanding from each other. Juliana hopes to make her family proud, while Dorian focuses on his future and career. Will they be able to survive the challenges they face and stay together in the end? Only time will tell!
