"HOW DO YOU EVEN MOVE LIKE THAT?" Jude furrowed up his eyebrows in disbelief as Emilia showed him a simple salsa move. He couldn't seem to be able to move his hips unlike her who knew how to dance since she was a child.
"It's not that hard!" She says in between laughs. She had all the salsa classics playing softly in the background as she tried to teach him. "Just move to the beat!"
"I'm afraid I can't."
"Just feel the music."
Emilia lets out a small gasp as her favorite salsa song started playing. She grabs Jude's hands as he looks at her with the most confused look on his face.
"Wait, Emilia-"
"Just follow me." She smiles as she begins dancing along to the tune of the song. Her hips and feet moved like dancing was as easy as breathing to her. Jude, on the other hand, was able to move his feet but struggled with his hips. Nonetheless, he had a blast dancing with her.
He raises his arm and twirls her around before catching her in his arms. He seemed to finally be getting a hang on salsa when he twirls her around again and they were back in the previous position.
"See, I knew you could do it!" Emilia exclaims in between laughter. Their moment couldn't have been better. The warm sand beneath their feet, the salty breeze dancing along with them, the cocktails and salsa classics made for the perfect beach day.
"Holy shit, I'm doing it!"
"Told you so!"
He finally found the rhythm and the two danced to the rest of the song like nothing else was happening around them. Their moment was cut short when his phone started to ring.
He glances down at the screen and sees that it was one of his friends calling. He lets out a string of curses when he checks the time. "Shit, I've got to go."
He had to get ready to check out of the hotel and leave for his flight. Luckily, he packed everything before meeting up with her.
"Don't worry. I'll just see you in Madrid, hopefully?" Emilia says in a hopeful tone as a smile makes its way on her lips.
Jude smiles back at her as he grabs his sandals from the white warm sand. "Definitely. I'll text you later, yeah?"
"Counting on it!"
