"My sister cast a protection spell on the building," Regina said upon Kyla's arrival. They were standing outside of Town Hall where Regina's office was. Robin Hood stood closely behind her, but there was a wall between the two. Zelena had Robin's child, which meant Hades had Robin's child. Robin was justifiably angry, but mostly at Regina. Regina trusted Zelena and he lost his daughter.
"We can't just stand here and do nothing," Robin said, irritation clinging to his words.
"I wasn't planning on doing nothing," Regina snapped back. Kyla looked up at her friend, feeling her heartbreak over the fight with her true love. "As a matter of fact, I know exactly what to do." When everyone gave her a quizzical look, Regina sighed. She explained there were tunnels under the building. She would go in and get the baby out. Robin Hood agreed, promising that he was with her.
"Then I'm going too," Emma said.
"That's not a good idea," Kyla said. Emma looked at Kyla, anger filling her face, but there was sorrow in her heart. "You're too emotional right now to think straight."
"Is that what you all think?" Emma asked.
"You suffered a major loss," Kyla said. "Take a minute. We don't even know how to defeat Hades yet."
"And we need you at your strongest," Regina added. "Once we take the baby, Hades will be coming after us."
"Then let's figure out how to defeat him," Emma said, her voice stern.
"Well, do it quickly," Regina said. She then turned to Kyla. "How's Rider?"
She shrugged. "Sleeping," was all she could answer. There were more pressing matters than her personal life.
Regina nodded. "You believe in me?"
A smile came to Kyla's face. "Always," she promised. "Just...be careful in there. I can't lose you, too."
Regina smiled in response. It was a sad smile as she thought of the loss of Hook. She placed her hand on Kyla's arm and squeezed it.
"Let me know if you need me," Kyla said.
"I will. Go figure out how to defeat this demon."
As Regina walked off with Robin, her stomach turned. With all of their past, she couldn't imagine living in a world without Regina in it. She didn't know how she was going to live in a world without Hook.
"Be careful," she whispered to the wind.
Kyla, David and Snow went to the library to find any writings on Hades. Snow believed the key to killing him would be in one of the books. Emma had other plans. She wouldn't tell them where she was going, but Kyla knew.
Gold.
She gave Emma her space, following along with her sister to help in any way she could. Rider would have been thankful to miss this part.
They had no luck in the library. There were hundreds of books, but nothing to help in their case. When Emma reappeared, she declared she was going to go after Hades. But Snow was able to pull her back, convincing her to stay and help them. They all knew if she were to go after Hades, he would kill her without a second thought.
Emma went to the back room and pulled out books, away from her family.
"I don't know what to do," Snow breathed. "I don't know how to comfort her in this."
"I don't think there's a way to comfort her right now," Kyla answered. "But keeping her here away from the fight is going to keep her alive."
Snow nodded. Her sadness was overpowering, but she had no tears. Maybe she had exhausted them all with her daughter earlier.
