Falling in love with someone you cannot have

The feelings deep and tender, no one else can understand

As I look into your eyes, a love for you that never dies

It's like a jolt of electricity, power flowing through me

Thoughts of you fill up my head, like a forlorn symphony

There's nothing I can do to ease this aching place inside

It's like a storm cloud that never moves, just dwells on within my mind

It's a bittersweet sensation, my heart so torn in two

To be in love with you this way, is all I have to do

To feel these emotions so strong, even though you don't belong

It's like a never-ending night, and all I can do is sigh

I long for dreams that will come true, a love that I can't buy

Though I know I can't possess you, your absence is a huge loss

I'm like a ship without a rudder, my soul controlled by the tide

I've been cast away from love's comfort, out of its protective arms

But still my heart hopes and dreams, with little hope of charmed

Still I'll wait forever on, this love I feel is so strong

Knowing I can't have you near, my mind tells me it's wrong

But even so my heart will bleed, my loneliness an endless song
