So yeah, when it was about 11:30 P:M, that's when we made our move. We took down most of the clan (Well, the group, save for Rin, hung back a bit to see what I can do), and now it was on to the leader, who was known as the "One Winged Demon", because he has the strength of a demon, and he's got one wing, obviously. We got to a big arena-like room, but no leader.
"Any ideas of where this guy is?" I asked, to which a voice from above replied...

"RIGHT HERE!!!", before firing his two shotguns, making us dodge out of the way. Rin and the rest of the group leaped in the air and shouted, "KOYOUSETSU!!!", before launching glowing sharp leaves at him, but he dodges out of the way, and grew a black wing.

"DARKNESS CLAW!!!" The One Winged Demon said, before slashing the entire group of Renamons on their chest, and slashing Rin on her left eye with his left hand, leaving a bloody claw mark.

She howled in pain, as she fell to the ground with both hands over her eye. The Beelzemon aimed his Blaster at the fallen Renamon.
"Adios, Kanko! CORONA BLA-"
*STAB*
He starts coughing blood and looks down, only to see my blood-covered sword sticking through his midsection. I then retracted my sword, and slashed his wing, the arm with the Blaster, and his head clean off. I cleaned the blood of my sword, and put it back in my sheath.

I walked up to the injured Renamons and healed them. They thanked me, and I walked to Rin to heal her, but she pushed me away and said, "Back off! I don't need you to heal me!". I said, "Are you sure? Because he clawed your eye pretty ba-". "ARE YOU DEAF OR RETARDED?! I SAID I'M FINE!!" She practically shouted, making me back up and respect her wishes.
Later...
We eventually got back to the planning room in the camp, while Rin went to get treated by a medic. After a few minutes in the shower of complements from the group, Rin, with a bandage over her eye, walked over to me, and said, "I've seen more competent mercs. Your skills are the farthest thing from legendary. The only 'legendary' about you is your weakness." She then threw the money on the table.
I took it as a sign of "Get your money, and get your ass out of here", so I took the money, said goodbye to the clan members, and left.
Rin POV:
"Rin," Riku said, with the most annoyed look. "I speak for all of us when I say, 'You are incredibly mean and awful'. Like, why on earth would you insult him like that?" I looked at him and said, "What are you talking about? He doesn't seem all that 'legendary'. In fact, he ruined the word." Ryan countered, "You forgot about the fact that the One Winged Demon is a Beelzemon, which, in case of you don't remember, is a MEGA LEVEL DIGIMON, while we are still in the ROOKIE LEVEL, meaning that we are COMPLETELY outmatched! I know that every single one of us, INCLUDING YOU, saw Shadow kill him without any trouble or difficulty. If anything Rin, you're a complete asshole!"

"You heard me," he said. "Just because I got injured, doesn't mean I won't be able to kick your ass again, Ryan! Figuratively and very literally! So, I suggest that you shut your fucking mouth right now. Or else..." Rika said, "Look, it's been a long night, let's just go to bed."
So, all of us went to bed. There was still something on my mind, though. That power that merc has...why does it have my interest? Why am I even interested in him at all? Maybe a good night's sleep will help me forget about it.
