(Remade)
(Imma be so for real with y'all, rereading these made me wanna commit lol. ALSO- Male Y/n for Pride Month AND Men's Mental Health Awareness Month)
Y/n is one of Slenderman's proxies. Original and overused theme. OH WELL-
How did he become a proxy? He existed and Slenderman suddenly declared that he was one of the chosen people to become a proxy for him and now he's just here. His childhood? Irrelevant. He just was chosen and now he exists as a proxy.
Out of his fellow proxies, he's been along with Hoodie, or Brian, whatever he prefers. Y/n will just call him Hoodie.
It was somewhat late at night. Y/n and Hoodie snuck out of the Slender Manor. Deep within the woods, they find an open spot surrounded by trees. They placed a blanket down and just laid there. Hoodie had his hands resting on his sternum as Y/n had his hands behind his head. They were both relaxed.
Y/n turned his head to look at Hoodie, as Hoodie looked back at Y/n. He looks at him. And he looks at him. And so forth.
"Hoodie," Y/n spoke up finally.
"What?" Hoodie answered.
"How are you holding up?" Y/n then asked.
Hoodie was still, his mask covering his face, so it was hard to tell what his expression was. So, he had his thoughtful look on his face under his mask as he looked back up at the stars and the moon.
"That is an odd question," Hoodie answered. "But, I suppose I'm alright."
Y/n nodded his head at Hoodie's words. "That's good to hear, I suppose," he spoke quietly.
Hoodie then looked back at Y/n. "How are you holding up?" he asked.
Y/n went silent at those words. He sighed heavily as he avoided eye contact. "Just... Still a bit anxious with being a proxy and all, you know... Like, I don't hate being his proxy and all. I just still don't understand why he would choose me," he began to vent. "I like you and such, and the others."
He paused for a bit before taking a deep breath. "I guess I'm just tired? Or... making a big deal out of it, I don't know..."
Hoodie did not respond immediately. He did, however, manage to grab Y/n's hand from behind his head and held it with his own. He did not move to take off his mask though, but that was respected. He continued to stare at Y/n.
"I get it," he answered softly, almost a whisper, but above a whisper. "I get the feeling too. I sometimes would think that it would pass over time, but it doesn't." He paused for a second. "But, I can't help but feel grateful that you told me this, instead of keeping it all inside."
Y/n stared at Hoodie before his eyes narrowed. "You're not gonna tell the others or use what I said against me, are you?" he questioned.
Hoodie just laughed behind his mask. He shook his head. "No, never," he answered. "Never with you."
Then, Hoodie crawled over to Y/n and just rested his head on his chest. Y/n was surprised by this action, but he put his hand on Hoodie's back, right in between his shoulder blades. "You're not gonna watch the stars anymore?"
Hoodie shook his head against Y/n's chest. "Nah, I'd rather rest on you for a bit," he said simply.
Y/n hummed in response before he simply just wrapped his arms around Hoodie, gently holding him. His head fell back onto the blanket, staring up at the sky. There are many words in the English language, and not a single word could describe the moment between Y/n and Hoodie.
