Jessica and Penelope finally finished class, and went to go hang out in the dorm. Only to find, that, it was empty.
They just hung around and talked, for thirty minutes. Matthias still hadn't shown up.
"We should look for him, don't you think?" Jessica asked Penelope.
"Didn't you say that you were going to go talk to Prince Alex after school?"
Jessica pursed her lips. "Yeah.. I did. But this is more important. I can go talk to Prince Alex, right after we know that he's alright?"
The door opened as if on cue. It was Matthias.
"Heey."
Jessica grinned, "What's up?"
"Oh. You would not believe it! My cousin, Sylvia, is staying here for a bit with her fiancé."
"How fun," Penelope said, in a robotic tone.
Matthias rolled his eyes. "Anyway, I'm going to go to dinner with.. just those two, in a while."
The pause was enough for Penelope to give a 'what are you hiding,' look. Jessica didn't pick up on it and only nodded excitedly.
To pass the time, they had all decided to play games.
Jessica was sitting down with paper across her head had 'Penelope,' written on it. "Give me a hint."
"..Wizard."
"This is so stupid." Penelope crossed her arms and frowned. She got up to leave, and the two started laughing.
"Penelope—"
The door opened, and all three stopped.
"Matthias, time to go!" Sylvia shouted cheerfully.
She noticed the other two and gasped. "Oh, hello! I'm his older cousin, Sylvia."
Jessica got up quickly. "Hi, I'm Jessica." For some reason, she really wanted Sylvia to like her.
"You're super pretty," Sylvia smiled.
"Let's get going," Matthias said, trying to get the woman to leave. She wouldn't budge so he started pulling her out the door.
Sylvia laughed. "Right. Goodbye girls, nice meeting you! Oh, and Matthias, we need to pick up your date."
Jessica's jaw dropped open.
"Sylvia! We talked about this," Matthias groaned.
Matthias yanked her out the door, then closed it.
Penelope and Jessica looked at each other in surprise. "Double date?"
Jessica clapped her hands together, "Penelope. I think you know what we need to do."
Penelope's eyebrows furrowed. "No, I don't. What?"
"We need to spy on their date!"
Penelope gave her a look. "Didn't you say you'd talk to Prince Alex? After we found out that Matthias was okay?
"But—"
"Why do you need to spy on their date anyhow?" Penelope interrupted.
"I.. I'm curious."
"Alright. Then I guess I'll see you later."
Jessica grabbed Penelope's hand, "I was thinking.. that maybe you could use your magic—"
"No!" She hissed.
"Please? You have to be at least a little interested."
"..."
Penelope caved in and decided to use her teleportation magic.
"Woah," Jessica said in awe. "I bet you could do so many fun things with that!"
She shrugged. "I suppose."
Jessica and Penelope snuck into the restaurant they saw the two 'couples' go into.
The two sat in a booth diagonally across from theirs.
The double-date spying had begun.
