William and Kate had been preparing for their first child together for months. Going to birthing classes, practicing how to put the car seat into the car, and babyproofing everything. Even with all the classes, and preparing nothing could prepare them for this night. On January 19, 2008, at 11:28 pm Eleanor Elizbeth Diana Cambridge was born. Third in line to the throne and the first baby of the Cambridges.
Kate's pov-
I can't believe our family of two just became three, I have done what was expected of me and created a healthy baby the heir to the throne. She is absolutely beautiful and looks just like William. As I sit in the hospital bed I can help but smile and love this new baby I just gave birth to. She is just perfect! "my Eleanor, I will always protect you and love you" I whisper to Eleanor who is fast asleep. As I am admiring my beautiful baby girl I hear Will walk in. "Well Granny is absolutely overjoyed and Harry can't wait to meet her. My father on the other hand can't stop gushing over the fact that she's a girl." William laughs as he's taking a seat next to me on my bed. "Thank you, Kate, for giving me a beautiful child."
As Kate and William are admiring their newborn they couldn't help but feel overjoyed over the fact that they had this bundle of joy to call their own. Back at the palace, the preparations were already being set up. As the doctor had signed the birth announcement it was promptly driven to Buckingham Palace and displayed on an easel near the Palace gates for the public to see. As well as the town crier announcing the baby's birth. Soon England would be lit up with pink everywhere for Eleanor.
As days passed Kate was finally discharged from St. Mary's Hospital and would soon make her appearance on the steps before leaving to go back home. As she changed Eleanor and wrapped her in her new baby blanket she whispered " They are going to fall in love with you darling, you will change this world." Soon after Eleanor was dressed William and Kate made their rounds thanking all the nurses and doctors who helped with the birth before setting foot onto the stairs in front of tabloids and news reporters who were all screaming out and taking hundreds of photos of the newborn. Before anyone stop the noise poor Eleanor started crying from all the screaming, it was then that William placed Eleanor into her car seat and into the car. Checking to see if his wife was ok he got into the front and drove the new family and now sleeping Eleanor back to Kensington Palace apartment 1a.
