A Glimpse of the Past

 The people of the medieval times called the continent the 'The Empire of the Rising Sun' .
The Empire of the Rising Sun is divided into numerous kingdoms with numerous Kings and Queens but only one has the supreme power, The Emperor. The Emperor right now is Sovereign Toshinori Yagi.

 
The Empire was divided into many unruly tribes for a long time. Due to the unruliness of the tribes, wars often broke out and caused huge damages. The tribes which were not so unruly made their bonds stronger and joined to form the alliance and this is how the Empire's capital was made. Obviously other tribes felt threatened by the unity of the better tribes and started to wage wars. As the years passed, more tribes came under the alliance of the Empire's capital. The unruly masses started to diminish and the Empire became bigger and bigger. When the Empire was completed, those many rulers who helped to build the Empire had to choose the Sovereign amongst them.

 
Two parties (election groups) used to stand for the elections- 'One for All' and 'All for one'. The leaders of the parties were blood related brothers. 'One for all' always won after the first chance was given to 'All for One'. After being elected as the Sovereign, All for one started to show his true colors. He started to divide the Empire which was united with so much struggle. The rulers became aware of the destruction and impeached All for one by their votes. All for one disappeared and his little brother, founder of One for all, was given the title of The Sovereign. Ever since then, the line of One for All continued and now Toshinori Yagi is the Sovereign, he is the 8th sovereign from the line of One for All.

During the early years of Yagi's sovereignty, The Kingdom of Lockwood had waged war against The Kingdom of Galilee. The war ended when both the rulers killed each other in a heavy battle. This made a huge blow on both the Kingdoms. Luckily for the Kingdom of Lockwood had a male heir to the throne, Kosuke of Lockwood. He was 10 years old when he was made the king after his father had passed. Since Kosuke was a man he had no troubles ascending the throne whereas the Kingdom of Galilee had a huge political dispute. 

The male nobles who worked under King Hisashi didn't want Inko to ascend the throne as she was a Woman who was unfit to become the ruler of Galilee. Duke Enji Todoroki who had great influence on the political system of the kingdom helped Queen Inko to ascend the throne.

 During this dispute the young princess, Izumi, was sent to the kingdom of Alora. Kingdom of Alora and Kingdom of Galilee were in an alliance treaty with each other since they both had female heirs to the throne. Later the treaty was strengthened by the wonders of the Young Princess Izumi. She was extremely smart for her age. She wanted to help her Kingdom whilst her stay in Alora but was denied the permission so she helped the kingdom of Alora to impress them and gain permission to help her own kingdom. The efforts were successful and this led to the strengthening of the treaty.

When Izumi was called back to Galilee, she had turned 8 years old. Three year stay in Alora and she didn't want to leave the kingdom especially for the princess of Alora- Katsumi. Izumi did not want Katsumi to feel attached to her and so she left Alora without crying. Katsumi felt betrayed that her friend didn't even shed a tear while leaving. Young Katsumi wanted to forget Izumi but she couldn't.

 
As they were growing up, they met each other at a ball. This ball was held by the Kingdom of Lockwood to formally apologize to the Kingdom of Galilee for waging the war 7 years ago. 

Queen Inko accepted the apology right away but Princess Izumi was not satisfied with the measly ball for an apology, she did not show her emotions regarding the apology. King Kosuke saw Izumi for the first time at the ball when he was twenty years old. Katsumi was slightly older than Izumi, but they both were 4 years junior to Prince Kosuke. Katsumi also met Izumi after so many years but she didn't greet her as she was still upset with Izumi. Izumi felt relieved that Katsumi was still upset with her which was better than forgetting her. A little petty but desperation was evident which was quite in contrast with her earlier intentions for letting Katsumi forget her.
