One Year Later...

"Babe oh my god this is so cute" Selah cooed, one hand on her round belly as she surveyed a piece of clothing. It was a see through club dress.

"Mannn, where you gon put that? You pregnant as hell ma."

"Duh, but I won't be for long. Trust me imma SnapBack soon as I deliver my stinka butt." Selah stated confidently.

"Thick or thin I'mma be here, so it really doesn't matter." Amar said as he watched Selah comb through clothing racks in Nordstrom.

He was feeling content with how his life was going. The woman of his dreams was beside him, and they had a baby on the way. He felt like he was living one of those fairytale moments that only happened in books but also knew what he was experiencing was real. He could still remember the day they reconciled.

Amar was fuming as he moved his things. Tossing them in the truck angrily. Though he'd had the conversation with Giyani he was still pissed that his love for Selah made him get out of character. As he tossed the last box of items in the moving truck he felt a hand touch his back.

He turned around to see Selah. Tears streaming down her face. Instantly his heart softened but he couldn't let her see it, atleast not until he heard her out. Exuding the patience Giyani told him to have for her.

"Amar I'm sorry. I know I hurt you by choosing Dante. I was blind and thought I was in love. But I wasn't, I was holding on to a mirage of what used to be. I love you Amar. Your smile, your laugh, your gentleness, your courage to love me; some one broken. I want to be with you and I won't stop until you see it that way too. Wherever you're going I wanna go with you, I don't give a damn where it is."

Amar stared at Selah, lost in her eyes. He couldn't deny the love he felt. As he thought over her words, No words had to be said as he grabbed her chin and kissed her full lips sealing the wounds that were once open. He didn't need an outsider to tell him to take back the woman he desired.

Now they were out shopping after having Selah's maternity pictures taken.

Selah was speechless. She couldn't fathom how she acquired a man of Amar's caliber. Just a year ago she was on the brink of losing him. But now he was officially hers. No more cheating, lies, or verbal abuse. Amar was actually making an honest woman out of her. In hindsight she had always been worthy, it just took Amar to bring it to the forefront.

"Are you okay?" Amar asked, his brow furrowed in concern.

"Yes, yes. I'm just overwhelmed. You're so incredible," Selah breathed out, her heart soaring with excitement.

Amar leaned down and brushed his lips against hers gently. "Thank you," he whispered before pulling away.

Selah could feel the blush spreading over her cheeks as she shifted in her standing position. She couldn't believe this was really happening. He was hers, and she would do anything to make him happy.

"So what do you want to do later?" Amar asked as they walked to another part of the store.

Selah grinned up at him. "Anything you want, my love. I just want to be with you."

"Anything you want, my love. I just want to be with you." Amar mocked playfully.

Amar couldn't help but smile as he traced his fingers along Selah's spine. She was so beautiful, all delicate and smooth. He couldn't wait to explore every inch of her body when they returned home.

As they continued to shop, Selah could feel eyes on her.

It was none other than Dante, watching from afar. He was with his mistress Giselle. Selah wanted to feel a way but couldn't. She had the perfect man in Amar.

However, it did look as if Dante felt some type of way. The look in his eyes held both regret and remorse. Giselle seemed to catch on and pulled him away, their one year old daughter on her hip. That made Selah feel a tinge of jealousy, but she quickly discarded the emotion. There was nothing to be jealous of. She was growing a family of her own now, too.

Amar played the back and watched the whole ordeal. It was entertaining that Dante held so much emotion in his face when he saw Selah happy with someone else. Almost as if he hadn't pushed her away to be in his arms.

They left Nordstrom putting the encounter in the back of their minds. It was the least of their worries.

When they made it inside the car, Amar opened his mouth to state one of his many powerful speeches. "Selah, I want you to know that I love you and that you never have to worry about me switching up on you. You and my unborn are everything to me. You never have to worry about shit in any aspect because I'm going to take care of whatever. I'm ya man now, and it's the least I could do. One day, you'll be my wife, and I want all the days leading up to that moment to be special. Fuck Dante it's me and you against the world now."

Selah couldn't help but smile and drop a few tears. It'd been a while since she could feel contentment in her man's words. Her wants and needs had been fulfilled; to love and be loved, the right way.
