If she could've seen what losing Tony did to Maria on that night, would Anita take the lie back and tell the truth if she could? Yes,she would for her best friend. Although she can't stand Tony because of what happened to Bernardo at the rumble by Tony's doing,it would be heartless of her to not take it back for Maria. How she wishes she could take it back for Maria's sake. It is something that she would do without second thought all for the sake of her best friend's happiness despite what Tony did to Bernardo at the rumble. She couldn't allow that to make her not want to be able to take back what she said for Maria's sake.
