After they've arrived back to camp - with Ruth this time - , Dutch already awaited them. "What took you so long? And who's that?" He stared at the other woman, raising a brow. "Ain't none of your business." She said, Dutch just grunted, not liking her attitude, before gazing to Arthur. "It doesn't matter what took so long. What matters is we got her back. With some sort of bodyguard... That won't leave her side." Arthur said, and Ruth practically glared at him.
After a while Ms. Grimshaw came along and checked out Sojhi's wounds. She went to touch her belly, but Sojhi brushed her off. When she tried again, Sojhi brushed her off again, but this time a bit more aggressive.
"Christ, kid. Calm down." Ms. Grimshaw said, as Dutch nodded: "Get some rest," Sojhi groaned, before leaving to.. wait, where was she gonna go? She turned back around, and Ruth watched carefully. Charles chimed in with his rather deep voice: "You can sleep in my tent." But it seemed like a special someone didn't want that. "Why not let her sleep in my tent again?" Arthur practically growled at Charles, and Charles just shrugged and nodded his head in agreement. Sojhi on the other hand blushed a little, before shaking her head and brushing it off, Ruth raised a brow and glared at Arthur, examining him. 'Don't fall in love with him, Sojhi. I know he won't be good for you,' she thought. Even though she knew Sojhi was careful, she still worried about her, but she decided let it play out.

Big Timeskip.

Sojhi's wound was healed, and she was able to move how she wanted again, even though sometimes Ruth still had to help her a little. ...Or Arthur. Ruth always glared at Arthur with a hint of jealousy. She wasn't jealous of Sojhi, she'd never fall in love with a big ol' cowboy. She was jealous of Arthur, of how he took care of her best friend and because of how close they were. She should be the one taking care of her, not him.
Sojhi and Arthur had gotten way closer. Like honestly, way, way closer. They flirted with each other, or teased each other. Everybody had noticed but nobody said something, of course except Ruth. She tended to not say anything directly in their face though, until today.
"Say, Soj..," she began, "is there something going on between you and.. you know...?" "What? You mean Arthur? No! Of course not.." Sojhi responded shyly, blushing a little. Ruth noticed and frowned. "But, like, you'd tell me if there was something going on, right?" She asked with a hint of worry in her face, Sojhi looked at her confused, "I will. Don't worry about me."

Sojhi's POV:
Ruth just nodded. Something was off, but I didn't decide to question it. And, after all, I didn't want her to know I started getting feelings for Arthur. I don't know how she'd feel. Maybe she'd get jealous? Or, mad? Upset? I don't know! Goodness. I don't even know my best friend that well anymore. I did too much with Arthur. Oh, Arthur. He's so sweet- "Hey? I asked you something." Molly's voice made me snap back to reality, Ruth was gone, I looked around quickly but I didn't see her. My gaze returned to Molly. "Yeah, what's wrong?" I asked, standing up a bit straighter. "I wanted to know, where Arthur is? I need to talk to him." She asked me, for a moment I felt a wave of jealousy go through me, but then I remembered she loved Dutch. Dutch, he doesn't like her back. As much as I know. I feel bad for Molly, she loves him dearly. I shook my head in response, Molly let out a small sigh, before nodding and leaving. Then, I go to search Arthur, who I find rather quickly with Micah, and... Ruth? "Arthur! Molly is looking for you." I call out to him. He turns his head, approaches me and greets me with a kiss on the cheek, I blush a little and try to not let it show, but I feel a rather cold glare on me and Arthur. Maybe Micah. Whatever. "Thanks, dear. I'll go look for her right away." He responds, I chuckle at 'dear'. Then he leaves, I go to Micah and Ruth, Micah stays, but Ruth leaves. My smile turns into a frown, looking after her. "Damn. Do I even wanna know what's going on with ya' two?" Micah says, it kinda hurts, but I don't know why. He said it in a teasing tone so I decided to brush it off. "I don't know myself." I respond, Micah looks at me confused for a moment. I can't see it, but I feel it, I turn to my head to him. "Well, better go and find out." I said, before leaving.
I find Ruth reading a book. She looked kinda lonely. "Ru? Why'd you just leave?" I ask. Ruth's eyes darted up at me when I said her nickname. "You don't have to lie to me, you know?" She said, I shake my head confused. "What do you mean?", "The way you act with Arthur? There's definitely going on something between you two." She snapped, before standing up. "Fuck this shit, man. I'm going on a ride." She spoke, before whistling for her horse, then mounting it and trotting away. I frown once again as I watch her leave. In that moment, Arthur returns and wraps his arms around my waist from behind, which makes my smile return. "What did she want?" I ask curious, "She wanted to know what's up with Dutch. Also, we haven't gone out for a while.. wanna go camping or something?" Arthur asked me with a big smile on his face, I nod hastily, with a happy: "Yes, of course!"

Ugh Reader's POV for the next few chapters I promise:
As they packed and got everything they needed, they went to their horses and mounted them, suddenly Arthur opened his mouth to ask something: "Soo, was it just me or did Jones walk away from you earlier?" Sojhi sighed, nodding her head. "It's crazy, but she did. It doesn't matter though." [ Crazy? I was crazy ones. They locked me in a rubber room. A rubber room with rats. And rats make me crazy. ]
"Damn. Well, I hope things get better between you two." He smiled at her, she just nodded.
After quite a while, they found their camping spot. It was beautiful! Arthur put up his tent, while Sojhi still searched for it. "Uhh, Arthur?" Sojhi suddenly called out, looking over her shoulder to Arthur, who looked at her. "I think, I forgot my tent," she smiled awkwardly. Arthur put a hand on his forehead (facepalming), softly pinching it. "You can sleep in mine." "Really?- I mean-, sure. Thank you." Sojhi quickly looked away, blushing a little and trying not to let it show.
They built up a campfire and went hunting for food, roasting it. "You know, Sojhi..." Arthur suddenly began, gazing over to Sojhi, you could see he was blushing a little, with a rather wide grin on his face. "I've liked you, the moment you showed us your strength even though you were wounded," he said with pride, his chest popping out a little, Sojhi visibly blushed, and not just a little. "Fuck." She mumbled, but due to the silence, it was loud enough for Arthur to hear, whose smile disappeared slightly. "What's wrong?" "I like you too." Arthur's eyes widened a little, going closer to her. "You should've told me sooner." He said, his voice a bit raspy this time, but still lovingly. His hand went up her thigh, which made Sojhi leave a soft gasp - even though it was quickly silenced by Arthur going in for a deep, passionate and hungry kiss, softly making her fall to the ground with her back, Arthur was on top of her, but he still didn't stop kissing her. He then took his lips away from hers to let her snap for air.

A/N: Spoiling y'all in the next chapter (I'm not it's gonna be cringe.)😍🥰
