I woke up to an empty bed and knocks on the door again. "Room service."

"Come in." I groaned, pushing the covers away and slipping out of bed. A young lady rolled the cart in as I slipped into the bathroom to brush my teeth. "Hi, good morning."

"Good morning. How are you?"

"Good," I told her with a smile, picking up my toothbrush and toothpaste.

"Good," she said brightly. "Most people would just go 'Ugh, it's Monday.'"

I chuckled at that. She laughed. I finish brushing my teeth quickly and come back out to see her waiting for me by the cart. "What do we have there?"

"Ms. Jones ordered you some breakfast and," she picked up a neatly trimmed bunch of peppermint leaves wrapped with a red ribbon and handed it to me.

I took it shaking my head, still, I'm bringing it to my nose to smell. "She is unbelievable. Thank you."

"Not just anyone will give you a makeshift bouquet of peppermint. Marry her."

"I just might." I put the bouquet down on the desktop to put in water later and focused on the cart. "Did she order coffee by any chance?"

"Double expresso gran. No sugar no cream and a dose of aspirin." She handed me the aspirin and a small bottle of water. "Seem like you two had a fun night."

"Ah yes. Fun." I scoffed. "I'm going to kill her for it." I swallowed the pills with some water then I'm taking up my coffee to sip. "Thank you, uh..."

"Zoe."

"Zoe. Thank you... Zoe."

"You're welcome, Julia." She beamed retreating towards the door with a lingering stare. I gave her a friendly smile as she spun on her heels and left.

I grabbed my phone and scrolled for Drea's chat, finding a message waiting for me.

Drea: No fancy note this morning, sorry. If you feel as horrible as I do for getting absolutely shit-faced last night then you'll understand. I have a board meeting all day today. Not sure I'm even going to survive it so if I don't, and I die, I'm haunting you.

Me: Firstly, thank you so much for breakfast and COFFEE and ASPRIN. You're my life saver.
Secondly, I wouldn't want you to haunt anybody else.
Thirdly, how exactly are you even that hangover when I've had more drinks than you did??? Also, I'm pretty sure the cute young hot housekeeper was just flirting with me. You better come get your girl before she gets stolen.

Since she had a board meeting all day, I wasn't expecting a response anytime soon. Breakfast was a bagel and smoked salmon breakfast sandwich, yoghurt parfait and a cup of double expresso. I don't know why Drea always ordered so much food knowing damn well I didn't have anywhere to store it all. When she's done with me I swear I'm going to weigh 130 lbs at 5'1" and I refuse!

My phone buzzed in my hand as I sipped my coffee and massaged the nagging headache in my temples. I pushed the button to accept the call from Steph. "Hi, good morning."

"Did I interrupt something?"

"Nope! But I do feel like death. How're things on the East side?"

"Good. Day off and everybody else is out about their business so you know? It's me and Leia.... Oh... She wants to say hi. Hold on baby—"

"Hi Julia!"

A big grin spread across my face. "Hi, big girl. How are you? Are you good?"

"Yeah! Sissy's birthday?"
