Your Smile

Have I told you your smile is my favorite?

Have you known that I was enchanted?

I don't know I could write like this again,

But this time with something true and genuine.

There's no rejection nor pain,

Just affirmation and what we exchanged just back then.

Our laughs and smiles from yesterday

Had me writing with a grin today.

I never expected anything,

Yet here I am, 2 am, unexpectedly dreaming.

I don't want to hope,

For tomorrow I might lose you.

I'll just treasure what's now,

I won't worry for tomorrow.

Your smile is the best and rarest of kinds,

When you wear it, I forget the concept of time.

I'm blessed to receive such things from you,

With your presence and gaze, you helped past's closure.

You perhaps never knew,

But thank you.

A/N: Here's an unfinished poem, but I just decided to share it here because it was at least bearable lol (cliché- but bearable). It's short since I wrote this when I couldn't sleep haha. The sun was not even rising yet XD. Plus, this is perhaps one of the few positive poems I wrote that survived (my cringy forced ones in elementary thankfully was lost to oblivion), so why not? It's so bad if I can't at least be happy right? Even if it didn't last, it's still worthwhile to treasure after all.
