Zephire's POV

I stood on the rooftop of the school, looking out at the city skyline. It was my usual spot, where I came to clear my head and escape the noise of the crowded hallways. I didn't expect anyone else to be up here, so I was surprised when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to see Caelix, the cold-hearted man that I've been avoiding, standing there. I was about to go and distance myself, when he started to approach me.

"What are you doing up here?" He asked, trying to hide my surprise.

"I could ask you the same thing," I replied, my voice cool and distant.

We stood Here in silence for a moment, looking out at the view. I was trying to think of something to say, but I couldn't think of anything that wouldn't sound stupid.

"Nice view," Caelix remarked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, it is," I agreed, relieved that he had started the conversation.

We talked about random things for a while, like the weather and the latest school gossip, but I was having a hard time concentrating. I couldn't stop thinking about how close Caelix was standing to me and how intense his gaze was.

Suddenly, he stepped closer to me, and our faces were only inches apart. My heart skipped a beat, and I felt a rush of emotions that I had been trying to suppress. I knew that I shouldn't let myself get too attached to him, but I couldn't help it.

There's a leaf on you hair". He suddenly said to I go back to my senses.

We stayed like that for 5 seconds until he looked away and then he said he'd go back to classroom first and left me alone in the rooftop. I couldn't shake the memory of what had happened with Caelix earlier, and I was lost in thought when Zephany appeared beside me.

"Zephire, we need to talk," Zephany said, her voice cold and distant.

"What's wrong?" I  asked, sensing that something was off.

Zephany glared at me, her eyes filled with hurt and anger. "Don't play dumb with me, Zephire. I saw you with Caelix earlier."

My heart sank as I realized what had happened. I had been so caught up in the moment with Caelix that I hadn't even considered the consequences of being caught.

"I'm sorry, Zephany., It's not like what you think" I said, my voice trembling.

"Sorry isn't going to cut it, Zephire. You said you will distance yourself but what's this then? Enjoying the rooftop with him? Wow you gonna be kidding me." Zephany spat, her anger building.

I tried to explain myself, but Zephany wasn't having it. She was hurt and betrayed, and she didn't want to hear any excuses.

"I can't believe you would do this to me, Zephire. I thought we were sisters, but you've shown me that you can't be trusted," Zephany said, her voice shaking with emotion.

I felt a pang of guilt in my chest as I watched my sister turn and walk away. I knew that I had hurt Zephany, but I didn't know how to make things right. I was lost in my own emotions, and I didn't know how to deal with the fallout from my actions.

As I stood alone on the rooftop, I knew that I had a lot of work to do if I wanted to repair my relationship with Zephany. I couldn't change what had happened with Caelix, but I could try to make amends with my sister and show her that I was still there for her.
