Deep caves

Steve and Alex wake up in their second day on the world. They decide to go to the caves to find more about the minerals the book talked about. With their knowledge they crafted the necessary tools that they will need in their trip. Alex said bye to her wolf and they head on to the caves nearby their base. At first they found coal and iron which they used to upgrade their tools and made shields to use as a defense. They were walking towards the beach when Steve almost fell into a huge ravine where they spotted more types of stone and shiny ores. They jump into a puddle of water to block their fall damage. They set up a mini base with a crafting table and a furnace with food and head into the caves. On the way down they met several monsters and many ores of iron and gold. As they headed lower they noticed that the stone started to transition to a stronger material called deepslate. As they walked deeper they found a huge opening with exposed diamonds, gold, redstone, lapiz lazuli, and a lava pool. "DIAMONDS" screamed Alex in excitement and they both went and mined these ores. With these new materials they unlocked stronger armour, tools, and weapons. Steve noticed when the water touched the lava it turned into a deep purple coloured block that looked similar to the material the nether portal was made in the guide book so they mined 14, 10 for the portal and 4 for the enchantment table.
