Anastasia's POV

I had to concentrate on each one of them. I looked at the dirt and let my mind take over my body. I was suppose to stay like this for about a minute. After that minute was up nothing happened. My mother was an earth witch. Well I guess we're going to be very different.

The next one was the water. I stared at the water and again let my mine take over. I look at the water after my minute and nothing happened. My mother was shocked because those two elements were most prominent in our family. She accepted the fact I was going to be different.

I went onto weather one. Like the past two times I let my mind take control and the top did not blow off the bowl. My mother was relieved because most evil witches were weather witches. This could only mean one thing.

My mom wanted me just to be safe and do the fire one. I was a bit anxious but like all the other times I let my mind control everything. My mother looked like she was about to cry when the coal didn't go a blaze. She went into the kitchen and grabbed a candle. I was very confused. She told me to call upon my great grandma. I did as she said and the candle sucked up all the different elements on the table. It was Chaos. My mother just stared at me and left. A couple minutes later she came in with my father and cleared the table and started to explain everything.

" Anastasia you are very rare. You can control all the elements. This is very powerful. Your great grandmother was the same as you. That's why when you didn't respond to each element. I knew that you were going to be powerful. This power is very great. It will try to take control. You are going to have to fight the power if it threatens to consume you. Your great grandmother was evil. This power changes your mind set of things. You have to fight the urge to become evil. Does that make sense?"

" Ya it makes sense. So this is going to be a life long struggle to fight the power when it wants control. "

"Yes, that's right. When you're at your most venerable that's when the power makes itself more prominent. It's very hard to control and when you are distracted it will also try to take you then. This is a lot to take in at once. I'll explain more as we go alone with trying to control these powers. "

" Mom, thanks for helping me through this and being supportive of what I am. I think I'm going to go to sleep. Good night."

I woke up and I laid in bed replaying last nights events in my head. Thank God it was Saturday. I texted Taylor because I had to avoid all supernatural things for at least a day.

Phone convo*
A: hey Taylor. Wanna hang out today??
T: sure! I'll meet you at Woodland park.
A: okay. See ya
End of Convo*

I put my phone down and headed to the bathroom and dressed up in a white skater skirt with a plain black crop top and curled my hair. I finished my make up and headed down stairs to grab me black wedges. I love the weekends because that's when I get to dress up.

I decided I was just gonna walk instead of bugging my parents to drive me. Woodland Park was about a mile from my house but I can tough it out. I used to walking in heels so I'll be fine. As I was walking I kept thinking about what my mom said about having to fight the power so it doesn't consume me. I finally reached Woodland Park and saw Taylor in white converse jean shorts and a crop top. She had her hair French braided. I walked over to her and she threw me a Gatorade. I love Gatorade.

We sat on the swings talking about random stuff and how summer is almost here. We reminisced on the memories from the past year. Ah freshman year was fun and hectic. We were laughing and all of a sudden Taylor stopped laughing and gasped. I stopped and asked her what was wrong. She just started to slap me and jumping up and down. Almost like a fangirl but not really. I knew her to well, she saw a cute guy. Typical Taylor always freaking out about boys. I looked over to the boy she was looking at and we just stood there with our mouths open staring at this boy. He looked about 15 or 16. He was probably 5'7 and he had light brown hair. He moved his head and we turned away and stared at a tree. We we're so weird.

We sat, still looks at the tree, and discussed random stuff. Soon it was lunch and we headed off to a restaurant. We ordered our food and as we were waiting we saw the same kid from the park. He was with his father or what looked to be his father ended up siting in the both on our left. We ate our food and kept looking at the boy out of the corner of our eyes.

We packed all our uneaten food into to go boxes and left. Taylor's mom called her and said she had to come home. So I decided I would walk back home. As I turned to go home I hit a rock. I fell and looked up to see what I ran into and it was the boy.
" Oh my! I'm so sorry. Are you okay??"
Said this mysterious person

" Ya I'm fine just scared me. I'm Anastasia." I stated

" I'm Aaron. I'm kinda new in this town so at least I know somebody. Or somewhat know somebody." He smiled

" Aaron come on boy we have to help mom with the house." Said his father.

" well if you see me around don't be afraid to say hello." I said

" will do. " he waved and left.

Well that was a bit unexpected. I started my walk home this time with no with no falling.

My mom asked me questions about my day with Taylor. I told her about my run in with Aaron.

I went upstairs and read through the spell book because I had nothing else to do. I did that till dinner and again after dinner until I fell asleep. I told my mom we could work on my control tomorrow.
