 TRIGGER WARNING: mention of mental and physical abuse and homophobia [sorry]

Me and Charlie are still driving and have no idea where to go....at least before I remember something.

"ummm Charlie?" I say in a hushed tone trying not to panic.

"yes Blane?" she says keeping her eyes on the road

"I forgot that before the weekend ends.....which is tomorrow......that I need to study for my last final exam and I'm really bad at math" I say mumbling the most longest sentence I've ever said to her.

Charlie nods in understanding and then says "I could help you" and I nod "thanks but......I would like to study at home" I say mumbling and Charlie nods again

"why? I get that you might be more comfortable but like....why can't I just come over?" she questions while looking at the road. How do I explain?

"he's strict......" I whisper looking down at my legs and continue "my dad...he umm, doesn't like it when I have friends over" I mumble ashamed that I couldn't tell her more, that I can't reach out.

"oh ok I understand, want me to drop you off then?" she asks and I nod looking out the window and we drive to my place after I gave her the address.\

about 30 minutes later we get to my house and I get out and turn around to her car window and she rolls it down "see you tomorrow Blane! Good luck studying and thanks for coming over and being my friend!" Charlie says happily but I could tell she was sad that I had to go, I nod and wave "see you" is all I say and she drives off, ugh....I wish we could drive around forever, never having to go back home but might as well deal with what I knew was coming. I open the door with my house key and walk inside, "hey dad" I say as I kick off my shoes and see him on the couch watching t.v "hey kid.....found yourself a girl?" he says and I look up at him through my hair "she's a friend, met her yesterday" I said standing there.

"you stayed at her place then?" He says and I nod.

"SPEAK to me when I'm TALKING TO YOU!" he raises his voice and I almost cover my ears not to think but I only whisper "sorry....yes I slept at her house, but were only friends dad" and he nods and pats the space next to him for me to sit, "okay c'mere" he says and I hesitently walk over and sit down.

"glad you got a friend but.....it's a girl.....and that worries me, not saying you shouldn't date but...son are you into...boys?" my dad says and I widen my eyes thinking he could've said anything else, "no dad! We bumped into each other and she kept showing up so we started chatting....then she said were friends" I say and he huffs "huh okay good, glad you got a friend though" he says "thanks" I say and get up but before I could leave he grabs my wrist tightly and I look at him.

"okay because  I didn't raise no fuckin' queer got that?" he says and I quickly nod "got it" I whisper and he lets go so I can leave.

As I enter my room I look at my wrist and notice it's bruising, gosh thank god for the lock on my door....worse could happen.

I lay down on my bed for a couple minutes and then remember the reason I even  returned to this place, to study. I grab my math book and paper to start studying while I listen to paradise city by Guns N Roses with headphones.

"take me down to paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty"

"please, take. me. home!"

While I'm listening and finish up my study I quickly take off my headphones at the sound of a bang and walk up to my door "dad?" I say and he says "Oh nothing it was just the t.v!" he yells from down the hallway and I nod and sit back town on the edge of my bed, before putting my headphones back on I zone out, remembering last week.

FLASHBACK:

"SON!! GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE AND DO THESE DISHES!" I scramble out of bed and pause my movie "okay dad" I whisper just enough for him to hear and turn on the sink, I start tapping my fingers in urge to go back to my room, geez these were only five dishes.

"Wheres my beer?!?! You brat you stole it didn't you?!" he yells and grabs my shoulder forcing me to face him "no I didn't, did you check in the living room or in the fridge?" I say and he goes to the fridge and shows me how all of them are empty, oh my gosh he doesn't remember drinking all those? 

"you fuckin' brat you stole my beers and drank em' all up!"

SLAP

"Ow!?" I say holding my cheek "I did not touch your beer!" I say yelling, I don't like yelling.

"fine then go get me some more at the store!! here's 20 bucks, hurry up" he lowers his voice and then pushes me backwards and I fall "okay" I say and head out.

*2 hours later*

He calmed down after I brought him the beer and now I can watch my my movie.

END OF FLASHBACK.

I try not to think about that night, but now loud noises trigger me....it won't go away.

I go back to studying and start to fall asleep before I hear my phone ding and I know I got a message.

Charlie Manor: heyyy get some hardcore studying done? I bet you'll smash them equations!

Me: yea I finished, whatsup? How'd you get my number?

Charlie Manor: I have my ways :)  just kidding, we gave them to each other at the restaurant this morning, but you were still waking up so you must not remember.

Me: ohh ok, yea I think I remember, so what's up?

Charlie Manor: since it's the evening and the sun is setting I thought we could go to the park and watch the sun set! I love sunsets<3

Me: yea okay sure

Charlie Manor: K great! I'll come  pick you up in 20 mins kay?

Me: okay.

after that I felt relieved that I'd be leaving again, especially with Charlie.

I got up and put on my grey sweater and headed out the door "dad I'm going to see someone" I say and he mumbles an "okay yea" and turns back to the t.v. I walk out and sit lean on the wall and wait for Charlie. Around 15 minutes later she comes and I climb in.

"hey" I whisper in a light voice and grin slightly. "hey" she smiles and we drive off.

[okay this is a superrr long chapter and I like that, I hope you guys are enjoying this and I plan on writing longer chapters sooo yeaa]
