Upon the starry night at Kew Palace, Anastasia was walking to the observatory which she knew would be the only place he would be to recover himself. The only place where he was truly happy. Her smile relaxed on her face as she pushed the doors wide open to see her husband eating his meal instead of the disgusting oatmeal that would make him starve while he was freshly cleaned.
"A warm meal and a bath must be a balm." George turned his gaze to her as her smile warmed upon her face. "You seem more yourself. You look better. Do you... do you feel better?"
George shifted his body in his chair as he looked at her eyes in the distance. "You should not to come."
"George, I was happy to come."
"No."
"I apologize for not appearing so soon. Do not fear, I vowed to never you-"
"No. Anastasia. Listen to my words." George looked into her eyes while she was confused and disbelieving to hear from her husband. "You should not have come. I do not want you here. Go back to Buckingham House, please."
Anastasia disobeyed as she walked up the steps near the platform. George noticed her action as he was raising his voice at her, "Do you hear me? I said, "Go back to Buckingham House." That is where you live. That is where you belong. Go."
She kept walking toward him as she knew deep down, he never wanted her to leave. George rose from his chair as he yelled out, "I do not want you. I never want to see you. Leave."
She stopped at her place while her eyes were staring at him. His arm was thrust behind her back, targeting the doors. Her body remained frozen as she never shifted her eyes from his eyes, "Get out!! I order you!!"
"No. No, George."
"Anastasia!!"
"I will not go with your orders. Not without you."
"I COMMAND IT!! GO!!"
Anastasia roared loudly as she marched up to him. Her eyes revealed fury while her voice grew stronger, "I WILL STAY!! I COMMAND IT!!" His eyes were emotional as he lowered his voice while he was stunned.
"Please, Anastasia. Please go."
"No."
"Anastasia, you're not listening to me."
"Every word you say to me, I am listening. You said you wanted me to go, you do not want to see me."
"Anastasia."
"What I have not heard is that you do not love me." George was still as he listened to her words clearly, denying the fact that she said love from her mouth. Anastasia can read him clearly while he was emotionally frozen as she spoke her voice to him. "For months without you, I had been suffering in great torment of being alone and actually believed that I was a failure as a wife, as your queen, all you ever did was stay away from me. My voice and my name were locked far from my soul.'
"I shall not have these shackles take hold of me anymore. From the moment I saw you in the iron chair, I had to save you from the torment that was resting on your soul. Our souls." His eyes revealed so many emotions as they were filled with water. "Then I realized... from every moment you disappeared from me, there is a better reason why you did. Perhaps you stay away from me because you care for me. Perhaps you stay away because... you love me...'
"Do you love me?"
His lips were quivering as he shook his head, "I'm trying to protect you."
"Do you love me?"
"An, I... I cannot." She did not give up as she walked down the steps. Approaching him, face-to-face. He kept avoiding the truth as he looked into her eyes, "We cannot... This conversation is... I can't do this."
