Adam walked off the stage. Adylen walked up to the mic to introduce me.

"I know you guys were expecting Tyler, but something happened, and he's not here. I'm not standing in for him, Bashur is. So, at Tyler's request, here's Bashurverse."

Okay, I thought. I might die for going up here, but i'll die for the few people willing me to go onstage. I walked up. Silence. That's all there was. Silence.

"Hey guys." I addressed the audience. "I know you didn't expect me here, and that most of you don't want me here. But, you only have to deal with me for a little bit. So, here I go."

There was no music. It was just me, singing the words they wouldn't ever let me say.

"When we first met I was drowning. Life was killing me. I spent my time playing video games. I couldn't face reality. You found me in the depths of hell and pulled me from the flames. And somehow you repaired me from the ashes that remained. I want you to know, i'm no longer that guy. I'm no longer the man who tried to take his own life. And I want you to know, I apologize. At the time I made my choices I didnt realize. I never meant to hurt you. And with all the rough times we've had and all the bad choices i've made, I dont expect you to forgive my mistakes. But with every wrong that i right, I pray it'll help fix our fight. And i hope that there's a mistake that this is fixing tonight. As for all the stuff I said, I would rather wind up dead, then to ever say a word that would hurt you again."

The room was still filled with this eerie silence. It bugged me, so I started talking. "Adam, Jordon, and everyone else I hurt and lied to, i'm sorru for everything, I'm sorry for hurting all of you. I didn't want you to find out the truth the way you did. The only reason I lied was because I thought you would hate me if you knew the truth. I wanted you to get to know me before knowing my past. I guess I wasn't so wrong. I mean, most of you hate me now that you know the truth. But, I still should have told you from the start. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I just want you to know how sorry I am. And maybe, one day, we can work this out, and hopefully, become a team again."

Still silence. Then, Anna and the rest of the A-team started clapping. Soon, the whole room, including the Sky Army, was clapping. For the first time that day, I smiled.
