Davion stood in the grand halls of the royal palace, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. The walls adorned with intricate tapestries and the polished marble floor beneath his feet emphasized the gravity of the moment. He couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and humility in the presence of such regal splendor.

The doors at the far end of the hall swung open, revealing King Tyrenas Menethil seated upon his ornate throne. The king's piercing eyes observed Davion with a mixture of curiosity and scrutiny. As Davion approached, he noticed the king's regal bearing, the weight of responsibility etched upon his features.

With each step, Davion tried to steady his breathing and gather his thoughts. He reminded himself of Bartholomew's words, instilling him with confidence and reminding him of his purpose. He had come this far, and he was determined to make a lasting impression.

Reaching the base of the throne, Davion knelt before the king, his head bowed in respect. "Your Majesty," he spoke, his voice steady but filled with reverence. "I am Davion, a humble farmer who has dedicated his life to protecting the innocent and defending our realm."

King Tyrenas leaned forward, his eyes studying Davion intently. "Rise, Davion," he commanded, his voice carrying an air of authority. "I have heard tales of your valor and heroism. Tell me, what drives you? What motivates you to risk your life for others?"

Davion took a moment to collect his thoughts, his mind flashing back to the teachings and discipline of his adoptive father, Bartholomew. With gratitude and reverence, he began to speak.

Davion stood tall, meeting the king's gaze. "Your Majesty, it is the belief that every life is worth defending, every innocent soul worth protecting. I have seen the suffering and the darkness that threatens our land. It is my duty, my purpose, to stand against it and be a beacon of hope. That's what I have learned from the teachings and guidance of my adoptive father, Bartholomew. He selflessly took me in when I was but a lost and frail boy, showing me kindness, love, and the importance of protecting those in need."

The king's eyes softened, recognizing the significance of the bond between mentor and mentee. He nodded, urging Davion to continue.

"Bartholomew taught me the values of discipline, compassion, and respect," Davion continued. "He instilled in me the belief that we have a duty to use our strength to defend the weak, to uphold justice, and to ensure that the innocent are shielded from harm. It is through his selfless actions and unwavering support that I stand before you today, driven by a deep gratitude and a desire to honor his teachings."

King Tyrenas nodded, his gaze reflecting a mixture of admiration and understanding. "The influence of a mentor is immeasurable, Davion. It is clear that Bartholomew has shaped you into a man of noble character."

Davion's resolve deepened, his voice carrying the weight of his purpose. "I seek to become a defender of our realm, Your Majesty, to uphold the principles of justice and protect our people from the forces that threaten our land. I wish to be a beacon of hope, embodying the values instilled in me by my adoptive father."

The king's eyes gleamed with approval as he stood from his throne, extending a hand toward Davion. "Rise, Davion. Your gratitude and dedication are commendable. Lordaeron needs champions like you, warriors who carry not only strength but also the wisdom and compassion to lead, especially now that we are under attack from this plagued undeath called the Scourge. With my guidance and the knowledge you have gained from Bartholomew, I have faith that you will become a formidable defender of our realm."

Davion's heart swelled with gratitude and a sense of purpose as he bowed before the king. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I am humbled by your faith in me. I will not falter in my commitment to protecting Lordaeron and upholding the ideals that Bartholomew has imparted."
