*Previously: "So...? Why did you want to speak with me?" I asked the sensei.
"I would like to enrol you into the academy. I already had a fellow student inform your sister that my son and I will be taking you home. After your first training today, you will start learning fight moves. And tomorrow we will progress into finding your ninja element." Sensei informed me, before we walked towards a private training arena. Weirdly the sky started to form a purplish cloud, it sort of looked like something evil.
"What's wrong dad?" Cameron asked, still not looking really pleased that this dad was keeping my sister and my friends in the academy.*************************************
The next day, I was in Storm Chargers and was working the cash register. Dustin was fixing motocross bikes, in the weird little garage section of the store. Our boss, Kelly was on the shop floor helping customers and restocking the shelves. All whilst Tori and Shane were in the lounge watching skateboarding reels to find Shane’s next trick to learn how to do. Sneaking a glance at the cute curly haired boy who currently had grease and oil all over his face, I saw that he and the other had set up a bunch of alarm clocks around Dustin’s workspace.
“Cool!” I heard Shane yell in amazement from the screen. Tori had just walked over to hand him a drink of soda. “Kick-flip to fifty-fifty. That’s what I got to learn for my video.” Shane marvelled at the trick, it was actually an easy trick. Once you learn how to do more tricks, the more extreme tricks seem easier as they progress in it’s difficulty level. I just finished with my last customer, and I walked out from behind the cash register to help clean up behind Dustin. I gave him a smile before taking a quick look at one of the many clocks to see that it was going to be three thirty soon. I managed to wipe down the tools that Dustin wasn’t using and packed them away, before making a start to the workbench. Until one of the alarm clocks started to ring, only to be followed by the rest of the alarm clocks.
“Dustin! Sierra!” Tori yelled as she raced out of the store door after Shane.
“Yo, heads up” Dustin warned Kelly before throwing the dirt rag towards her. I didn’t move to leave yet and finished turning off the other alarms, and cleaning the tool I was on. “Sierra, come on!” Dustin called, as he turned to grab my hand from picking up another tool and started to pull me out the store’s front door.
“Dustin! Sierra! You aren’t going to leave me to clean up the shop.” Kelly yelled out to us sounding desperate.
“Have we ever told you what a great boss you are?!” Dustin yelled back with his adorable smirk on his face. I gave my own charming smile towards the redhead.
“We’ll be back as soon as we can! I already made a start!” I called out to the redhead, and threw a clean wet rag at Dustin’s face. As soon as we sat in Tori's minivan, I smiled at Dustin and yanked the somewhat clean wet rag from his hands.
“What?” Dustin asked me quietly, I simply just fixed the rag in my hand and reached up for his face. And started to clean off some of the marks he had missed. I was so focused that I didn’t realise how close we were, I would risk taking quick glances to Dustin’s lips but immediately stopped after I was done cleaning his face.
“You had grease and oil on your face. You don’t want Sensei to see that, do you?” I asked him, jokingly. He shook his head and stood to peek through the front windows, so his butt was almost in my face.
“Are we late?” Shane asked Tori, and he sounded worried.
“No, we’re early.” Tori answered, after a quick glance at the radio clock.
“Hey, they look like they need help.” Dustin stated as he looked out of the window to Shane’s right. I peeked out behind him to see a more elderly couple on the side of the road. Tori turned the minivan in front of the couples’ car. And stopped the minivan, and getting out to help the couple, Dustin and I followed in suit. I have no idea how or where Dustin got a toolkit or the cables to jumpstart the couples’ car.
“No Tori, no way.” Shane warned her.
“We can’t just leave them here” She began, getting out of the minivan.
“Come on Shane, what if something happened to them?” I pushed the hypothetical on him, before getting out myself with Tori’s on-hand toolbox, her minivan sometimes breaks down so we keep on in her minivan in case we need it.
“Guys, if we’re late something will happen to us and it won’t involve fun and fabulous prizes.” Shane worried, but we just ignored him. Leading him to sigh and also get out after us.
“It’ll take two minutes dude.” Dustin brushed him off walking over to the couple with me.
