Draco doesn't return to classes until Thursday. Staggering into the potion classroom, where the Slytherins and Gryffindors were halfway through double potions, with a sling on his arm.
P: 'How is it, Draco? Does it hurt much?'
D: 'Yeah.' He said with a brave sort of grimace.
PS: 'Settle down, settle down.' He said idly.
Draco made his way over to the bench where pansy, Y/n and Mattheo were working on their Shrinking Solution.
D: 'I think I might go and work next to Potter and Ron today.'
P: 'Oh ok then.'
Draco made his way over to the counter and set up his cauldron next to Harry's.
D: 'Sir. Sir' I'll need help cutting up these daisy roots because of my arm – '
S: 'Weasley, cut up Malfoy's roots for him.' He said without looking up.
R: 'There's nothing wrong with your arm her said going red as a brick. Draco just smirked across the table.
D: 'You heard Professor Snape, cut up these roots.'
Ron seized is knife, pulled Draco's roots towards him and began roughly chopping then' so they were all different sizes.
D: 'Professor. Weasley's mutilating my roots, sir.'
Snape approached their table, stared down his hooked nose at the roots, then gave Ron an unpleasant smile beneath his long, greasy black hair.
S: 'Change roots with Malfoy, Weasley.'
R: 'But sir -!'
Ron had spent the last quarter of an hour carefully shredding his own roots into exactly equal pieces. He shoved his own beautifully cut roots across the table at Malfoy, then took up his knife again.
D: 'And, sir, I'll need this Shrivelfig skinned.'
The rest of the lesson consisted of Draco getting Potter and Weasley to do all his work for him and Snape testing Nevile's potion on his toad. Y/n was disappointed when nothing exiting happened. The next lesson they had was Defence against the Dark arts...
