No Mercy and Latina were about to have their last shows in late 2003. This was the end of an era because the couples wanted to focus more on raising their children and other interests. Ariel started to make a living as an artist while Gabriel started his real estate business, selling luxury homes while their wives took care of the children. The women went back to their modelling roots, occasionally modelling with their children for mother and baby products, vacation brochures, among other things.
They all went to Germany and France to get on the singing stage for what would be the last time for a few years.
As each band performed their hits, they remembered how exciting the 90s were. It had only been 7 years earlier that "Where Do You Go?" and "Just A Little Bit" topped the charts, but it felt like forever because so much had happened since that time.
"This is it, I guess." Said Danielle, when she and Gabriel were back in their hotel suite.
"Sure is, baby." He said. "It's been some of my best years that's for sure. And... I still desire you the same as ever."
Gabriel slowly ran his hand underneath Danielle's skirt, touching her leg and moving up to her intimate area. Needless to say, they made passionate love that night.
Upon going back to Miami, everyone thought of how they started out in the music business in 1995. The Hernandez couples had just gotten married, which alone made 1995 one of the best years for them, and soon they would climb the charts all over the world. They were certainly sensations of the 90s.
But it was over now. And they were ok with that. They wanted to focus on other things, especially their children. Every now and again they would get recognized but it wasn't anything they couldn't handle. They were pretty much done with fame. Ariel was even quoted as saying:
"We still can walk on the street without a bunch of bodyguards and without being recognized by everyone. That's very important to us! I don't want to hide from the public one day like Michael Jackson has to. This price for the success would be too high for me!"
Cassandra wholeheartedly agreed with him, also noting it wouldn't be in the best interests of the children.
After Christmas, Ariel and Cassandra decided to go to Tampa for New Year's celebrations. They went to Tampa Bay for dinner while they awaited 2004, and finally, the time came for everyone to count down to the new year, and while they cheered, the fireworks lit up the sky, creating a rainbow glisten on the water's surface! Olivia and Felicidad observed the fireworks with their little eyes widened in awe.
They were both asleep, however, once the parents brought them back to the hotel. When they were in their own bedroom, the couple started making out passionately, shedding each other's clothes.
She lay on her side, with him laying beside her. He kissed her smooth, feminine back, moving up to the back of her neck, reaching around to feel her beautiful breasts before she turned around to reciprocate his affections.
Ariel climbed over his wife, and she wrapped a leg around him as he passionately thrust into her, bringing her and himself to an intense climax.
As they rested in each other's arms in post-orgasmic bliss, they reminisced about the old days, and how much had changed since they were married. But they were very happy, and they wouldn't have had it any other way. The same was true for Gabriel and Danielle, who celebrated their NYE at Miami Beach with their kids.
"I'm really gonna miss you two." Said Linda to her now-former bandmates.
"Oh Linda, we'll still see each other." Said Cassandra. "We just won't be singing together that's all."
"That's true I guess." She said.
"So what are you plans for 2004?" Asked Danielle.
"I'm going to continue to sing." Said Linda. "I'm in such a good place right now, after everything that's happened."
It was true. Linda had finally healed after everything that happened with Marty, and in her room, she had a piece of paper on which she wrote a poem for the child she never knew. Whether or not she was going to make it into a song, she hadn't decided yet, but one thing was for sure, that the poem would be forever.
