Ozpin and team RWBY stood in front of the clinic doors. A couple of the hunters opened the door for the 5 with slight disgust. Inside the first room was a type of kill room with fences and small walls with holes enough for guns or spears. Ozpin and team RWBY walked through the room and up some stairs to find many people hurt, sick, insane or turning into a beast as people in white robes were taking care of the people the best they could. The 2 hunters that fought Elliot were rushed in with a small uproar as a few of the people in white robes came over to help the hurt hunters as they started by lightly stitching the limbs to where they belong then injecting a jar of deep red blood into them as the limbs once lost were reduced together to the bodies of the hunters. As soon Pearson dragged Martin inside as well.
Ozpin stared in amazement, the fact that whatever was in those jars of blood had just done what aura couldn't, save people who were wounded beyond recovery.
Ozpin soon snapped out and kept walking up another pair of stairs to find a hall with many people with many problems.
"Your daughter is gonna make it Mrs. Greal, you can see her after an hour as we had been attacked and for even your safety" "do you think Mary would like this? It took all week to make it." "Alright, so when is our next mission. Hopefully tomorrow... I don't think I can last any longer without another hunt. I need my fi- to help these people." "How long till we get killed by the Vilebloods... I just hope they kill me quick." "Drip... drip... drop... I can hear the water... can you?" "7 bullets left and 4 blood vials... we really need to step up on our next mission or we might die horribly." "My blood... it burns so much and I am so starved..."
"This isn't right...", Blake said as she looked at the many people. Ozpin took a look as well and took as much of it in as he could to try to figure out what is going on.
The 5 then stood in front of a large door with the 2 hunters that had a minigun and cannon out in the front. The 2 then opened the door. Inside was the leader of the hunters behind a large desk and 2 couches on the sides of the room. She had long blonde hair, and deep brown eyes, with a large scar going down her cheek and mouth. She wore an old hat with a coat over her uniform that had large sides and bandages on her arms. "Welcome people from the other side. I am Ailey, leader of the hunters and protector of the sane people of Yharnam. If you don't mind telling me your names could you", Ailey spoke as she waved her hand to the couches. Ozpin came up to the desk, and all of team RWBY sat down on the couches. "I am Ozpin, the Headmaster of Beacon. These 4 are my students and to be future huntresses against the monsters of Grimm." Ailey nods then says, "I see, so you are from the real world like those half beast men. The uh... White Fang they called themselves. They were quite the thugs and attacked us, but didn't last long. Many had gotten away, but I ain't sure that they lived long out in this world." Ozpin nodded as Blake gripped hard enough to leave a red mark. "I see", Ozpin spoke "well from how this headquarters is, I think your fight isn't going to last long either. The people here are not doing well here. The hurt people are in front of your headquarters and so they will be in the most danger from the Vilebloods." Ailey nodded and then spoke up, "you are new here... so you don't know what is going on. Let me show you why the sick and hurt people are out in front. I will tell you that it is not to protect them, but to protect us all."
Ailey pushed away from her desk and walked out the door with Ozpin and team RWBY following behind. Once outside Ailey's 2 guards stomped as they both saluted as the 6 walk by. The 6 then walk down the hallway and out a broken window with 2 guards where there was a ladder going down to another house where someone put a trapdoor on a roof. Ailey stomped on the door and after a few seconds it opens slightly. "What's the password?" A slow methodical voice asked to which Ailey leaned down and whispered something. The door shut and a clang of metal was heard, afterwards the door opened completely to show a man in a black tophat, a white smiling mask that had a mustache, and leather straps with arrows and daggers under a coat that had a rose brooch.
"Ailey... what exactly brings you here?" The man asked as he looked over to the others. "I am here to show them the patients we found in the nightmare Chester", Ailey spoke. "Oh, for juniper sake, you make this order every time you recruit a new hunter. We shouldn't be forcing such... children to see down what is in this building", Chester warned as he sat on the hatch and crossed his arms. Ailey sighed then spoke again, "I understand... very well, Ozpin you may enter and your young allies must stay here."
Ozpin nodded and agreed. Chester clapped and stoop up allowing Ailey and Ozpin to go down the ladder. As they wend down the sounds of groans, screams and mumbling left the lightly illuminated tunnel down. When both reached the bottom Ozpin got to take a good look around seeing something inhumane.
Strapped on tables were people in forms of transforming into beasts, alien like beings, and some had enlarged heads with skin like hide. "What is this?" Ozpin asked as he looked to the people. "What someday a hunter like you will be... well, something bigger, actually...", a man with a triangular hat and metal mask spoke as he was leaning against a far wall and messing with some sort of large red clump with an eye.
"Leondard is correct. These people are those turned by the old blood and became monsters. This I what we are fighting Ozpin. Our people do not know this fact, only the people who became hunters may know this seceret. Any patient we see having signs of becoming a monster we take them here and help them if we can. But none may return", Ailey said as she had a face of defeat "we need to get out of this horrible town but we can't. So I ask this, will you help us Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon."
Ozpin weighed the pros and cons, and after a minute there was no other answer. "Yes", Ozpin said as he looked directly into Ailey's eyes "my students and I will find a way out of this place and help the people by becoming hunters."
