After getting geared up, team RWBY would get their first mission ever. Ozpin had more money than team RWBY because of the mission he was to undergo. Ozpin had a large wide brimmed hat with a green cloth around his neck, on his torso was a strapped leather vest over a white and green striped shirt with a cloak over it that was black on the outside and green on the inside, he wore some basic pants with large boots and a metal strap on his right leg, on his right hand was a metal gauntlet with a green cloth wrapped around the arm and hand, on his left was some white bandages wrapped around it. In Ozpins' hands was a Hunter Siaf and a Hunter Pistol. "Ah, team RWBY, your weapons look good. What else do you have for your first mission?" Ozpin asked as he walked over to the group. Ruby walked around Ozpin with stars in her eyes. "Not bad, strange how you have more money than us since you also just joined", Wiess said as she looked down to the money pouch she was assigned to carry. "Well, we are different hunters, which is why I have more money. You all are Saw Hunters, and I have been given the Old Hunter Badge, which gives me more options and items", Ozpin said as he then takes out a mini pocket watch from his cloak then stares at it. Afterwards, he stuffs the watch back in and pulls the green cloth up to his nose, "I have to go, I must hurry out to Old Yharnam to fight some monsters. From what I heard, you 4 will be helping Liam the Gate Constable for the day."
Ruby went back to her party then spoke out, "Yep! We will be getting 500 coins each for that. Oh, and if anything comes to fight us, we can get more money!" "Sounds great, just know that you can run at any time", Ozpin said as he pulled up onto Martin's cart. "You know..." Martin said as he looked down to team RWBY "I can give ya'll a ride to the gate since we are passing it soon. I am gonna send Pearson to another part of Yharnam soon after... free of charge... this time."
"We would love to! Thanks, Martin!" Ruby yelled as she ran up on the cart with the rest of the team close behind.
Once at the Gate team RWBY jumped off and headed to the man who hit Pearson with a metal club, also known as Liam the Constable.
"So you 4 are the new saw hunters. Thought that there was something different about you 3... and a new girl is with you. Well let me introduce myself", Liam said as he put a hand to his chest and bowed slightly "I am Liam the Constable and I protect the main gate between Yharnam and the rest of the city." Liam then guided team RWBY to a part of the wall that had a wooden tower on it. Once to the top Liam had told team RWBY what their job today was. "For 8 hours of work you will be standing up on these towers, letting people in and out by yelling to Greg over there. Last if anything comes to destroy the gate you 4 and the rest of our people will stop them the best we can. Understood?" Liam asked as team RWBY acknowledged in their own ways. "Good cause I have not got off work for 16 hours so bye for now, I will pick you up in 8 hours", Liam said as he walked down the slanted ladder that goes up the tower.
"... so... anyone got anything to entertain ourselves with?" Yang asked as she leaned on the wall and looked to the dark stone city. "Nope, just expect to be bored for hours", Wiess says as she starts scanning the place.
"Well then... guess we should maintain our weapons", Ruby says as she looked on to the dark city, then turned her head, seeing Elliot staring down at the 4 then backing into the darkness of Yharnam's alleyways. "... wait... weren't we supposed to be trained by Liam?" Blake asked as everyone looked to each other.
Ozpin sat quietly as he looked around to the city. Ozpin had many questions in his mind. Who sent them here? Who was the Paleblood, and why was he so kind to Ruby when many other hunters describe him as insane? What makes a person a Vileblood? Why does this place exist? Ozpin couldn't feel any light or dark in this land, it felt... like twilight that couldn't be described in any human way. Martin soon stopped infromt of 7 people, 6 were those Vilebloods and 1 was little if at all were human. It looked like if a giant man formed with a crow and covered with little eyes on its head and neck. All guarding the bridge to Old Yharnam.
"A Crowman... you better know how to fight without that aura many of you people from the outside always ho on about", Martin said as he pulled to the right and Ozpin jumped out.
Ozpin ran forward sliding across the stone while extending his weapon and dodging a sword. Ozpin then slashed forward and then dodged to the side just to quickly close in as he jumped forward while snapping his Hunter Siaf back into itself as he killed one of the Vilebloods. The Crowman slammed down to Ozpin but it's arm was cut from itself as Ozpin snapped the Siaf out and hopped back. It was obvious Ozpin was a professional hunter, even without an Aura or his sembalance. It did not take long as Ozpin zipped himself in and outside the Vilebloods as he cut, stabbed, and dodged. Once the 7 enemies were gone Ozpin looked past the bridge and stepped on to his next journey. A journey to find a way out for everyone stuck in this nightmarish world.
As Ozpin stepped across the bridge something felt off. Ozpin could swear that he had many eyes on him, like some people or somethings were stalking him, but maybe... it was just in his head.
