I HAVE NOT EDITED SO THERE WILL PROBABLY BE MISTAKES. IF THEY BOTHER YOU COMMENT ON IT AND I WILL FIX IT AS SOON AS I CAN. IF SOMETHING DOESNT MAKE SENSE THEN SAY WHAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE AND MAYBE HOW I MIGHT FIX IT TO MAKE MY STORY MORE INJOYABLE FOR MY READERS.

They're transferring me...again. I'm being sent to another science lab. I've been to too many to remember. There are many times during the day that I wonder why I still strive to live on. I look around at the gray-brown, dirt covered ground. The cell I'm kept in is small enough that I cannot even put my legs straight while I'm in here.

"Stand up!" I jump a little as the scratchy voice shouts.

I do as he told me to, for once, and hold out my chained hands. He grabs onto the chain links between my hands and yanks me out of the small, barred cell room and through a door leading out of the holding quarters.

We turn down an unfamiliar hallway. Where am I being transferred to? Will I have any chance of escape? ...Will they kill me if I try? My mind begins to race and I cannot calm it.

He shoves me into a large, metal dog crate and shuts and locks it with a modified lock. Him and a few others haul me into the back of a large moving truck with three guards on all four sides of me.

I don't dare fall asleep with others around me no matter how much tiredness and exhaustion calls to me.

We drive for what seems like forever before the vehicle comes to a stop. The doors open and the light shining in from outside blinds me for a moment as I close my eyes tightly against the difference in lighting.

My eyes shoot open as the cage is picked up roughly and I am brought across brown grass into a building that is made of red, dark-gray, and white bricks.

When we get inside they yank me out of the cage and make me stumble along the way as they drag me with them. We walk into a dimly lit hallway with small flickering lights, the only things making it so we can see. After what seems like around fifteen turns they open a door and shove me inside.

I stumble in as they throw me against the wall, momentarily stunning me and causing the air to be knocked out of my lungs.

They grab my hands, unlocking the cuffs and putting new ones on, although these ones are connected to the wall. At least I'm not in a cage anymore.

They slowly filter out of the room after checking that I am not getting free anytime soon.

You know that chill that skitters up your spine like a hundred tiny spiders when you're being watched? I just got that feeling.

"What's your name Miss?" A quiet voice inquires of me.

I stop all movement and stay kneeling as still as a statue.

"Do you think she can hear us?" Another small voice speaks up.

I decide that the people the voices belong to are harmless when the shock and fear finally wears off and I realize they are voices of children and not even near an age old enough to do me any harm.

"Shut up guys, I think she's just a little scared at the moment." Another one. How many children are in here?

"I-I I can hear you. I just-...I just...I don't know...sorry, I'm sorry." I manage to stutter out.

The one who told them to shut up replies to me. "What's your name? Mine is Ria." She says sweetly.

"My name is Lydia." I manage to force out.

"I like your accent Lydia! My name is Xavier and I am 12!" The boy who had asked for my name first says proudly.

I blush a little because I have no idea how to handle compliments; I've never gotten one before...well not since that day. "Th-thanks Xavier." I have got to stop stuttering! Pull it together Lydia! These are children, not goblins out to get you!....right? I slowly begin to doubt my sanity after recent events. How can something so wonderful as these visions, dreams or something close to that, be so true.....yet, I'm beginning to believe it...

I've been having these strange dreams. A warm hand reaches out to me and a kind voice calls to me, telling me it is all alright. That He is always with me, walking through what I am going through, because He has suffered my pains and afflictions, therefore making it known unto Him what it is I need to help me on my journey and he knows how I feel when life gets hard and when I feel joy, confliction or sadness, even anger and betrayal. And He says that when I can no longer walk on my own He does not abandon me, He does not give up on me or stop loving me, because His love for all is endless and unconditional. Instead He carries me the rest of the way and sends me help when I need it, so that someday, when He returns again, I can return home to where I belong.

Ria speaks up again, interrupting my memories of dreams that float to me each night recently. "There are six of us; me, Xavier, Rory, Mikah, Kolton, and Evangeline. We've been here for a loooong time. Where have you been and how long have you been there?"

Although the room is cold and very dark, I look away from the side of the room that I can see the darker shadow outlines of six small figures in tiny dog crates.

"Um, well...I've been to so many different labs that I cannot even remember all of them, but not being in a cage is a new one for me." I say shaking my arms a little causing a jingling noise to sound off as the metal links clank together.

"How long have you been a prisoner?" A different girl asks so I assume that she is Evangeline.

My reply is quiet. "Longer than I can remember."
