"Don't forget, lab reports by the end of the day. No extensions. no exceptions. Any sad stories you can try, I'm always up for a laugh." Jackie's science teacher said. Her eyes quickly widened in fear, she didn't even start her paper yet.

"Did you do your paper?" Shawn asked Cory and her.

"No, you?" Cory answered. Jackie shook her head.

"I didn't even know there was one. So what do we tell Sorrell?" Shawn said.

"The truth." Cory answered.

"Are you crazy?" Jackie spoke.

"Aliens abducted us?" Shawn questioned.

"And ate our papers." Cory finished. Jackie nodded along agreeing.

"Good. We got our stories straight." The three of them stood up and walked over to Mr. Sorrell. They then overheard him doing an exception to an athlete.

"Hey, DR. Sorrell?" Shawn started.

"No." Sorrell didn't even let him finish his sentence. Cory and Shawn disappeared to the back of the classroom for a moment, leaving Jackie in front of their teacher. "Miss Saint Claire, how can I help you today?" He gave her a smile, the same one he gave the athlete before them.

"I wanted to ask you if you could give us an extension on our papers,-"

"Of course, don't even worry about it." DR. Sorrell answered before Jackie could even finish her sentence.

Then Cory walked back to him, he smiled trying to find his words but got nothing. Then Jackie told him the good news before he could embarrass himself even more. "Guys, he gave us an extension." She smiled.

"Really?" Shawn then ran up to them.

"No way! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!" Cory told Jackie.

But their cheering was quickly interrupted by DR. Sorrell, "I gave Miss Saint Claire an extension, not you two."

The disappointment took over the two boys again, "What? But why?" Cory asked the teacher.

"Do any of your parents donate thousands of dollars to the school every semester?" Sorrell questioned, they stayed quiet.

"He didn't even know my name." Cory complained whilst going through the window to the science lab in the school. It was late at night and Shawn and Cory decided to break into the school because of their papers. Jackie tagged along because she felt bad for what happened in the morning.

"What are you so upset about?" Shawn asked going in after Cory. Jackie was right behind him on the latter.

"Oh, I don't know. I could it be staying up all night to finish my paper. Could it be breaking into school so it's not late? Or could it be losing half my pants on the barbed wire?" Cory asked annoyed.

Jackie then through the window, she dusted herself off when she landed on her feet. "Why didn't you just walk through the gate?"

"It was too easy. It looked like a trap." Cory explained himself.

"You know what bugs me the most? Tommy the football hero gets a free ride for throwing a stupid lucky touchdown." Cory kept on talking.

"Then what's she doing here?" Shawn pointed his flashlight towards Jackie.

"What do you mean? She's helping us." Cory answered.

"Yeah, she's no better than you're football hero Tommy."

"Hey! At least I'm out here helping you guys, dipshit." Jackie reminded him, Shawn scoffed before looking through the room again.

"I mean, just because he plays a sport he get's treated completely differently than us? That's unfair." Cory continued.

"Cory, let me tell you something about breaking and entering. You usually don't hang around and vent while you're doing it." Shawn stopped in his tracks, his flashlight pointed upwards so it gave a kind of spooky vibe.

"He's only fooling himself if he thinks his hero stuff is going to carry him through life though."

"Oh, yeah. Troy Aikman's really hurting." Shawn remarked sarcastically, he pushed Cory aside and went to look elsewhere through the room. Jackie was looking through the other side of the room with her flashlight, looking for the pile of papers.

"I'm a felon, Hunter. Don't push me. All I'm saying is, he's heading for a fall if he believes his own hype." Cory explained.

"Found them!" Jackie informed them, they followed after her.

"Come on. Let's just put our papers on the desk and get out of here." Shawn said putting both papers on the pile.

"We... are home free." Cory said proudly. Then Shawn's flashlight went off. "Uh-oh. Check the batteries." Cory panicked.

"Okay, okay. But I need a flashlight." Shawn told him.

Jackie rolled her eyes and cleared her throat. She pointed her flashlight onto their faces, "Guys."

"Oh, perfect." Cory said.

Shawn then stepped forward, "Give me the flashlight." He tried to take it from Jackie's grasp.

"Only if you ask nicely." Jackie smiled.

Shawn rolled his eyes and tried to get a hold of the flashlight but Jackie fought him for it, a moment later the flashlight fell out the window, followed by a breaking sound.

"I didn't do it!" Both of them said at the same time, they looked to Cory for help.

"You gotta be kidding me." Cory rolled his eyes, "All right, we're in a chem lab. There's got to be matches around here somewhere, right?" He looked through the different desk's and drawers, "Ta-da! Matches." He found them.

"As some famous guy once said, "Let there be light."." Shawn commented.

"Cory, I don't think it's a good idea to use matches." Jackie told him, something felt wrong about the situation.

"Ah, don't worry about it. Nothing's gonna happen- Ow! Ow--Ow--Ow!" The curly headed boy was interrupted by his own pain when he burned himself. Cory then threw the match in the trash can, which quickly caught on fire. The three teens looked at each other in panic before trying to blow the fire out, but failed miserably.

"Backdraft!" The two boys yelled, before running to the window to escape. Jackie looked through the room for a hose but before she could find one, someone pulled her by the arm. She didn't have time to argue and then went down the latter when she looked up she saw Shawn going after her.

"Was the fire out when you left?" Cory asked them when they got down.

"It's trash can fire. It'll go out by itself or tomorrow when they take out the trash."  Shawn answered, he then tried to run off but Jackie grabbed him by the arm.

"Shawn. It's a chemistry lab. Chemicals explode." Cory explained.

"Oh no, this is bad."

"That's what I'm saying."

"No, no, no, I ended my paper, "In conclusion, chemicals don't explode."" Shawn told them.

"Oh, come on." Cory started to run up the latter again.

"Where are you going?" Shawn asked.

"To save the school." Cory answered, still going up the latter.

"I'll go call the fire department." Jackie told him.

"Hey, while you're in there, can you change the ending of my paper?" Shawn yelled, Jackie rolled her eyes before pulling her with him, the two of them ran off to call for help.
