"By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you wife and wife! You may now kiss."
The officiant announced. Its not a grand wedding, nor public one, there's only the six of them. Sam and Mon, the officiant, Jim, and two other british couple whom they just knew and asked to be the other witnesses for their wedding. The other four are clapping their hands to celebrate while Jim, is busy wiping her tears away but still smiling at them.
The newly married couple just looked at each other's eyes. Smile automatically shown on their faces. Mon is holding a bouquet of white tulips, Sam's favorite flower, in between them when she felt Sam's hand on hers.
Sam wrapped her arm on her wife's waist and pulled her closer before giving her a kiss, a deep, sweet kiss to end the ceremony. Sam then pushed their foreheads together as they both smile and feel the moment they are in now.
"Thank you for making me happy." Sam whispered.
"Thank you for taking care of me." Mon replied.
MON
I opened my eyes and felt my tears flowing down my face. Its been a good 3 days since the last time I had that argument with Sam. And its also the last time I saw her and i am having the same dream every night since then. That dream felt like it just happened minutes ago but in reality its not. Its been 8 years since our wedding in Wales. "Its nothing Kornkamon." i said to myself and wiped my tears, its not worth it.
I looked at the clock and it was 30 minutes passed midnight. I was about to reach for my water when the door opened and I closed my eyes in an instant. I dont want to talk to anyone else tonight, not event to my nurse. I'll just fake my sleep so this visitor of mine will go and leave me alone already.
"Are you sure you're ok now Sam?" i heard P'Jim whispered.
"I'm fine Jim, you need to rest too. Sorry for disturbing your sleep." Sam whispered back.
"No need to apologize Sam. You know you can always tell me everything. But make sure to get more sleep Sam. Everything's gonna be fine."
"I'll try. Dont worry about me."
"I will always worry about you im your bestfriend! Just please, i know you are worried of Mon but please dont forget about yourself too." thats the last thing i heard form them since Sam closed the door. But i got confused with P'Jim's last words. Whats going on with Sam?
SAM
"You've been overworking yourself everyday and traveling back and forth to Bangkok and here. You're leaving at 6 in the morning and arrive back here at midnight."
"I need to Jim."
"You don't need to Sam. Im here, nurse Bae is here, we can take care - - - "
"I just want to be here Jim. I know i dont need to, but i want to. I just want to see her before i close my eyes at night and after i woke up, i want her to be the first thing i see in the morning. I want to know she's healthy and she's safe. I..... I dont know what the assurance that she's here Jim."
Jim just tapped her best friend's back.
"How about you take a rest tomorrow, hmm?"
