MOTHER.
Just as I opened the door, I saw my mom and a guy laying down in the couch, wearing a pink silk bathrobe, with her legs exposed settling it down to the man's lap. And of course, they startled.
Why? Didn't they expect me coming?
"Oh L-Liming, you're home, I- uhm- come inside I prepared food for you in the table—" I don't want to hear such cover up nonsense anymore, so I hung her offer and asked her directly in the face.
"Who is he?" I firmly asked.
"Him? oh he's uhm my co-worker in the compan–" she replied, stuttering.
"co-worker?" I scoffed "I'm not dumb."
"Excuse me?" she replied feeling outraged, crossing her arms, standing, and staring directly only at me.
"You heard me." I'm already glaring at her, I couldn't even feel my hands and feet because of my brimful anger.
Sudden puzzling emotions is what I only feel right now.
"When will you change... Mom?" I can slowly feel my fists tightening, teary eyed.
"What do you mean Liming? I–" I hung her once again.
Liming completely entered their house, and slams the door aggressively as he could.
"Can you stop pretending?! Can you stop pretending that you don't know what's happening mom?? And can you stop pretending that you care for me?!"
I let out a unresisting compliant, a foul tempered scream, that releases the emotion I've been carrying for about 3 years long.
"Don't you dare raise your voice at me!" she furiously replied, couldn't control her anger as well.
"Why not?? Give me a reason to not to! You've been like this ever since father died!" I shouted back as she widened her eyes.
she walked towards me, with heavy stomps, I know she's mad.
"Don't ever talk about your father again!" She held my arms tightly griping it.
"And then what?? Should we talk about the different manstress you bring home every other day instead? Huh??" I could already feel my tears falling down on my cheeks.
There was silence all over the place, the tension is getting out of hand, to the point that it can make either of them blast unpleasant emotions.
"Your father isn't always the one who suffers Liming. I suffer too!" She lets go of her grip.
"Really now??" Liming is already crying, he's not used to answering his mom this way, but today, he feels like he needs to relinquish all the pain that he had been carrying all this time.
"My Father loves you so much... very much." I cried. "but because of your selfishness– because you cheated he leaves us!" Liming starts to point his fingers directly at his mom. "he got to an accident and died, and you didn't even bother to visit him even once!!" He shouted.
"He died mom... because of you."
Liming's mom is left speechless, trying to hold back her tears, knowing that it was really her fault— but a stone hearted mom like her always still refuses the truth.
And every time Liming's mom declines everything, it hurts so deep for Liming's part.
Particularly each time Liming returned home from class, his mother always acts as if nothing ever happened.
He could've been so happy with his father if he's still alive right now, his father is the only person who gives him courage and comfort every time, who tells bed-time stories every night, who defends him from bullies no matter what, and more. He felt the love of a true parent from his dad.
But now, he's gone.
I took a last glance to the guy my mom brought, but he's just standing, totally shocked, and doing nothing.
Looked like he doesn't want to be in this household anymore, well, good for him.
because neither do I.
Liming left the house, and he's like a crying river running towards his motorcycle.
He drives, going to his favorite place whenever he feels impassioned. A lake under the bridge.
He hops on the edge of the bridge, sitting, and he's still crying about what happened.
"Damn Liming, here you go again, crying like a baby." he whispered, and sniffled.
But then suddenly Liming remembered his father, and what he always tells him.
"If anyone hurts you, it's alright to cry a river, Ming. Just don't forget to build a bridge over it. Understood son?"
He couldn't resist but to cry even worse, very much terrible than earlier, he just wants let it all out, and screamed.
"Why? Why do I have to suffer like this?! I don't deserve any of this! So why me? why?!" He cried.
He doesn't give a fuck anymore if anyone sees him or whatever the people thinks of him.
He'd had enough.
...
He calmed down after a few minutes and went home, not because he'll apologize, but because he just needs a shelter because he have class tomorrow.
Of course he'll study, he wants to live for his own and work, to get out of this house.
If you're asking about his mom and the guy, Liming is pretty sure that they left, to live in a condo for a week or something, leaving him alone again, running away.
like she always do.
