SHIFTING TO MUMBATTAN was not something you wanted. you stretched your body and plopped down on your bed. opening your eyes, you peered at the ceiling of your new room.
it's been nine years since you and your family left mumbattan after your dad's buisness transfer time was completed.
your mother belonged to dehli. whereas, your father belonged to mumbatten . your parents decided to reside at dehli after their marriage but due to some business deals your dad was transferred at mumbatten when you were 4 and he took you and your mom there as well. you lived there for almost an year. your younger brother took birth there as well.
you were happy at dehli but suddenly your parents decided to move to mumbattan again permanently, probably because of business reasons.
feeling of oddness filled you as soon as you closed your eyes again. not having any choice, you decided to accept your fate. it's not like you don't like mumbattan, you actually have many sweet memories of mumbattan with you.
but it felt somewhat odd now.
a heavy sigh left your mouth as you heard your mother calling you downstairs. you got up from your dear bed and went downstairs.
"you should take a walk outside and on your way get me some vegetables from market- don't make that face in front of me." the older women glared.
"money is on the table. teenagers of your age are so energetic and look at you-"
rolling your eyes as your mother kept rambling , you took the money from the dinning table. putting on your shoes, you got up and now you were ready to go- not mentally though. you turned to take a look at your dog. as always, he was wagging his tail and panting. you moved forward and patted him on head.
"tommy, i'll see you in a bit." you smiled, this fur-ball of a dog was just too cute for you. finally, you made your way towards the door.
you opened the door and got out. horns and traffic noise was audible from here, damn. starting to walk, you looked around. it was a beautiful evening. warm hues of orange and pink were tainting the sky. and they seemed to blend well with the busy look of mumbatten.
a small smile playing on your lips, you kept on walking till you finally reached your destination. market was filled with yelling of vegetable sellers and hawkers. after looking around and analysing prices you finally bought some vegetables. although, a little bit of money was still left.
so, why not utilise it?
hell yeah, some pani puri would do.
you looked around to see if there is any pani puri stall nearby. gladly, you found one. you made your way towards to the stall. your eyes were gleaming with excitement. it's been a while since you ate some pani puri.
"bhaiya, one plate of 30 rupees."
ignoring the sudden police sirens around you, you grabbed the mini plate and just as put one in your mouth you were pulled back by someone. and just as you gulped down the goll-gappa , something sharp was placed against your throat.
just why can't you have a moment to yourself'? like, what in the frickity fuck.
"back off, or the girl would be dead. i would kill her!"
you literally had a 'do-it-no-balls' look on your face. you looked around to see yourself surrounded by police officers who were pointing the gun at the person who was holding you as hostage.fuck everything.
