Dear Journal;
So I have a secret.
I can control shit with my mind. I mean, it sounds like it would be awesome as hell, but the truth is, I'm fucking terrified.
Weird thing is that it only happens when I'm pissed off. And there's no way of predicting when I'll burst.
I just have to try and stay calm the entire time I'm at Trevor's birthday party. Oh joy.
Wish me luck.
Jamie pulled up his sleeve of his flannel shirt and ran his fingers through his messy brown hair. He opened up the door to Trevor's place and was immediately flooded with bright colorful lights and loud music blaring from the living room. He closed the door behind him and slowly walked into the kitchen. Trevor was standing there next to Addison, who quickly glanced at Jamie and sucked in her cheeks. "Hey babe, I'm gonna go grab some more drinks from the garage." She said, walking quickly past Jamie.
"She's still fucking avoiding me. I really fucked up." Jamie thought. His thoughts got interrupted when Trey stepped into the room.
"God damn." Jamie thought, as he glanced up and down at what Trey was wearing.
Trey had on a white tank top that showed off the muscles in his arms. His black ripped jeans had a chain around the pocket, and he wore black and white canvas shoes. A few bracelets were strewn about his wrist and a necklace hung around his neck.
Jamie felt his cheeks turn red. Trey glanced at Jamie and smiled. "Hey dude. I like your outfit!" Jamie rubbed his neck sheepishly. "Oh thanks dude."
"Alright everyone! Gather round in the kitchen for birthday shots in honor of the birthday boy!" Jamie heard Addison shout in the living room. A large crowd of people quickly scrambled into the kitchen.
Trey raised his shot in the air and shouted with excitement. "Back in the 70s, mama and papa Chase made sweet love one night and gave birth to the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. Trevor Chase! Cheers to you man, happy eighteenth!"
"That's a little too much detail there bro." Trevor laughed, as he downed his shot. Jamie held his nose and drank cringing as the bitter liquid ran down his throat. He felt his head start to feel fuzzy as he stumbled a bit. "God damn, am I really that much of a lightweight?" he thought. "Hey Trey?" he asked, "what the hell is in that shot?" Jamie's eyesight went blurry and his throat burned. "I think it's Fireball and a little bit of vodka, whatever it is, it packs a fucking punch."
"I-I think I need to go lie down." Trey nodded as Jamie headed upstairs, his head still slightly spinning.
"Hey dude, you okay?"
Jamie's eyes fluttered open. His head felt heavy and was pounding. "Ugh. Feels like someone's been hammering into my god damn skull."
"Dude, all you had was one shot." Trey chuckled. Jamie rolled his eyes. "I don't ever drink that's why." Jamie replied, resting his head on the pillow. Trey laid down next to him and smiled as they looked at each other eye to eye.
Jamie couldn't help but notice every feature on Trey's face. Little freckles dotted Trey's nose and a small scar was on his chin. When Trey smiled, a small dimple formed on his right cheek. But the thing Jamie was most intrigued about Trey was his hazel eyes, with a little bit of green and brown specks.
Jamie gulped. Trey chuckled as he gave Jamie a little smirk. "What?" he said.
"I think you're the most amazing person I've ever met." Jamie said. Trey blushed. "You really think so?
Without thinking, Jamie closed his eyes as he felt his lips connect with Trey's. His heart fluttered with excitement. The moment was almost fleeting.
Trey leaned back with slight concern. "Uh dude...?" Jamie got up and glanced at Trey. "I-I'm sorry. I'm drunk..." Jamie shook his head, got up and bolted out the door.
"Jamie wait!" Jamie heard Trey call his name but didn't look back. The music was muffled from the pounding of his heart in his ears. He ran out of Trevor's house and sprinted into the forest, hot tears rolling down his cheeks. The rain poured down on Jamie as lightning flashed in the sky followed by the loud rumbling of thunder. He made into a clearing and held his head in his hands. His breathing became heavier and heavier until...
"FUUUUCK!"
The sound of his scream echoed through the forest as the trees near the clearing all erupted from the sound waves and fell over. Jamie looked up to see Trey standing a few feet from him, the expression on his face in shock.
"What the hell?" Trey tried to muster up words but he was speechless. Tears still pouring down Jamie's face, he screamed at Trey. "You can't tell ANYONE about this! NO ONE! Nobody can fucking know about this! The only people who know about this is Addison and now you!"
"Okay okay, I believe you!" Trey replied. "I'm sorry okay?! I didn't know how to react!"
"I'm sorry I kissed you okay?! I'm a fucking freak!" Jamie yelled, his hands shaking. "I don't know what this is and I'm fucking scared!"
"You're not a freak Jamie." Trey reassured Jamie. "You're my best friend. I just want to help you."
"I DON'T FUCKING NEED YOUR HELP! I don't need...your...help..." Another bolt of lightning flashed in the sky as Jamie's stumbled on the wet grass.
"Jamie? I'm here, I'm not going anywhere." Trey held onto Jamie with his strong arms.
"Trey..." was all Jamie could muster before everything went black.
