DA note: This chapter was the second hardest chapter of this book for me to write for some reason.

And from here begins the final act of this book.

The clicking of stilettos echoed loud against the high walls of the Watthanasetsiri Residence as Kara stirred in her teacup for the irritating tick tock resonating off the marble floor slowly started to ache her head,

"Can you not take a seat for once, Nok?" Kara asked sophisticatedly louder over the clicking as it stopped the next second,

Swiftly spinning on her heels, the fidgeting woman's demeanor shifted into something entirely else as she almost snarled, "Oh, why can't I? This is my house, I can do what I want. You don't need to tell me what to do."

Kara glared up at her dear friend from under those long fake and mascara covered lashes,

"You know I don't like it when you behave like this."

"If you don't like me behaving like this then answer me, where are they?!"

She clicked closer to her, her hands fisted and slim arms shaking as she thundered in a way that was unlike her usual style, grave.

"You said that they would come crawling back to us in a matter of hours after that bitch left that house! Tell me! Where are they now? Because I don't see them here, begging us to forgive them!"

The woman took a deep breath in as she let herself loose then, her hands automatically going to her cheeks and lifting them up while she turned away from her best friend,

Clenching her teeth, Kara turned back to stirring in her cup, her grip on the steel teaspoon painstakingly firm, slightly molding it as she started in a calm and refined manner,

"You shouldn't stress, Nok, after all the treatments you got done on yourself to retain your youth, it will be a waste if you just let it go down the drain by taking stress for no reason."

Nok whipped around, anger blazing in her eyes, determined to get back for the insult she felt as she stormed,

"Rather than enlightening me of my worries, you're sitting there, insulting me and stirring away in your tea as if it hasn't been more than fifteen days to your masterstroke already!

"How do you expect to sit down and take it easy like you?! Do you know how tense I feel everyday? Do you know how worried I feel everyday?! I am going mad because of this growing fear in me, Kara, I am going mad!

"So please, instead of looking like a portrait straight out of a palace, do something!"

She huffed out then, feeling a lot lighter, "It's a shame that the beauty needs to tell the brains to work."

And Kara once again glared up at her as Nok coincidentally met her eyes, her rage dissipating at Kara's gaze that could kill, making her sigh out through her nose before she said in a pretend weak and polite manner, "Please, I really can't take this."

Snapping her gaze away from her dear but irritating friend, Kara took out the slightly disfigured teaspoon, clinked it thrice against the rim and set it on the saucer before looking up at her again,

"The way you seem in so much distress shows your trust in me, Nok," She elegantly held her hand and put her elbow over the armrest,

"To this date, whenever I did something severe like this, it never missed a mark. You know it. The way you make your son,"
