"My house, this weekend," Clara sent to the group chat. "Celebration time that we have only one more year of this shitshow."
"Has your dad approved?" Zach texted back.
"Yep. Already asked this morning. Only person not allowed to be in the same room as me is Zach unless we're all in the same year together with the door open three inches."
"I'm so down to sleep on the floor," Dylan sent. "I get the best sleep of my life on the floor."
"I was gonna put you all on air mattresses and you can share them but sure, whatever you say."
"Scratch that," Dylan put. "I'm sleeping on your hoard of stuffed animals."
"IT'S NOT A HOARD!!" Clara put in all caps. "It's a small army and it's not that many."
"Is Macy the leader of it all?"
"Leave my stuffed husky out of this. And for the record, she's my second in command."
"I'm down," Bailey sent.
"Same," sent Logan.
"Count me in."
"LETSSSS GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Dylan put.
Clara then went to do her test for Home Economics. Clara and Zach had spent many hours studying for the test over FaceTime. Clara ended up going to bed at 11 pm which wasn't that bad compared to the two am the night before. Clara was glad the school year would be over in just a few days.
"We're gonna nail this," Clara said to Zach as he suppressed a yawn. "I brought you this."
Clara handed Zach a Starbucks coffee with two shots of expression and extra whipped cream.
"Did I mention I love you?" He said as he took the drink. "You're a life saver."
"How much longer did you stay up?"
"I decline to answer, your honor."
Clara rolled her eyes. "That's why I have another in my lunch box."
Zach leaned over and kissed her. His lips tasted sugary like the whipped cream. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Clara kissed him again. She tasted like mint and chocolate. "and I love you, too."
He kissed her again before pulling back. He checked his notes one more time.
Clara and Zach began the test as soon as the teacher handed it out. The test was fifty multiple choice questions.
Clara finished within an hour and thirty minutes. Zach finished at the end of class. She handed him the other Starbucks since he finished the first.
"You did great, lovely," Clara threw her arm around him.
"You too, Babe."
Later that day, both discovered they made good scores. Zach made a 90 and Clara a 92. He hugged her so hard and Clara was sure he was crying but was denying it.
They were so happy.
