Shuffling around the living room getting her stuff together Tassoni replied to her boyfriend. "My class starts in an hour and I have to drive all the way to campus I don't have time for this Kaino."
"I'm just saying who the fuck you tryna look all good for. You dressed like a thot just to go to some class." Kaino retorted with his face scrunched in anger and frustration.
"First off my outfit is chill and secondly I'm not a thot nor do I have to dress like one to get someone's attention. " the girl said scoffing and rolling her eyes.
Before she knew it her head went up against the wall with a bang and the males hands were wrapped securely around her throat choking her with no remorse. "Get off of me."
"Listen, I bet not hear about you doing no fuck shit at that damn school. You always gotta say some smart shit just shut the fuck up and listen sometimes" he said roughing her up a little banging her head against the wall again.
"Kaino, let me go please. I'm just going to class I promise. " she said choking out her words due to her source of air being nearly cut off. Seeing tears in her eyes he finally let go and walked off.
Gasping for air she fell to the floor and tried to catch her breath while coughing uncontrollably. After gaining her composure she hurriedly snatched her keys off of the counter and walked out the door.

After arriving on the campus she received an email stating that class would be cancelled for the rest of the week due to the professor having personal issues. Not wanting her day or gas to go to waste she settled for studying in the library.
Ignoring the weird stares as she walked into the library she found an area that was secluded. Pulling her laptop out of her bag she logged in and looked at all of her assignments for the week getting started on the first one.
As she worked hours were simply passing by. She was ignoring the fact that she didn't really want to go home. Even though it was her apartment she would feel bad for putting Kaino out knowing he had nowhere else to go.
She was so in the zone she didn't even notice the 6'0 brown skinned man standing in front of her table. "Hey, you dropped this"
Looking up from her laptop finally taking notice of the man standing in front of her. Taking in his appearance she noticed the fresh braids in his head. His smooth brown skin and the goatee on his chin. He was very handsome. Finally realizing that she was staring she snapped out of her daze noticing him holding out her student id card to her. She reached her hand out taking the id card.
"Thankyou umm..." she trailed off waiting for him to say his name, she hadn't even noticed that she dropped it
"Shilo and you okay?" he questioned eyes focused on her neck noticing the light purple ring around her neck with slight fingerprints. Anyone else would assume they were hickeys but he knew better.
"Yeah, why?" she replied eyebrows furrowed in confusion not knowing why he would ask her that.
"You got bruises on your neck love." the man spoke being the direct person that he is. His intense eye contact made Tassoni nervous but she quickly picked up her iphone and went to her camera confirming that her neck was indeed bruised up.
Quickly packing up her things she rose from the table and basically ran out of the library. Leaving Shilo standing there dumbfounded deciding that it was no reason to go after her even though he knew he could catch her.
Looking down Shilo noticed once again she left her student id card. It didn't go unnoticed how beautiful the woman was to Shilo even her picture on the card was stunning.
The bruises threw Shilo completely off. He never understood how a man could put his hands on a woman. The fact that she didn't deny that they were bruises made it even worse. Shilo definitely wanted to know more. Scratch that, he needed to know more. There was no need to ask for her name being that it was on the card and she got out of the library too quick for him to ask anyway.
He picked the I.D. card up and slipped it into his pocket. He was going to find a way to see the girl again. In the meantime he had to make his way to the football locker for practice knowing his father/coach doesn't play about being on time.
Meanwhile Tassoni was driving back home with tears coming down her face at an uncontrollable rate. They were clouding her vision so bad she had to pull over on the side of the road. She wasn't sure how she could let something like this keep happening.
She wasn't raised to be weak and she definitely wasn't raised to allow a man to put his hands on her especially with the brothers she had. Yes, she was in Colorado by herself but she knew that her brothers would fly from Chicago so fast to put Kaino in the dirt if they found out what he was doing to their little sister.
This was the first time it was noticed in public. The first time she forgot to cover up the bruises. The first time she felt like it was time to just let go. Also, the first time she was going to tell her brothers. This had occurred too many times and she could no longer deal with it.
Especially since she was basically taking care of a grown man and still going to college at the same time. Moving from the side of the road she found herself pulling into the parking lot of a Starbucks noticing that it was now going on 7pm. Pulling out her phone she began to text her brother.

Tassoni answered the facetime call from her brother. Instantly being bombarded with questions "Who did that shit, Tassoni? Me and durk need to catch a flight a'sum. Let me know sumn."
"Kaino did it Von. I don't need y'all to do anything stupid I just want him out of my apartment please." She didn't want the boys to hurt him she just needed him away from her.
"This nigga living witchu? In the apartment we pay fa and beatin' yo ass on top of that? Man fuck allat, we coming down there you tweakin on foe nem." Those were the last words her brother said before he quickly hung up the phone.
She knew that this wasn't going to end well. Pulling out of the parking lot she started driving home seeing that it was getting later and later. She knew that once she got home she would have to hear Kaino's mouth.

i feel like Shilo doesn't get the recognition that he deserves so i definitely had to make a book cause there aren't many on here
