I decided to put Anthony leaving so suddenly off as nothing.
I guess I should go eat now.
I left my room and headed upstairs.
My mom was standing over the stove stirring something that was letting steam into the air making it foggy.
"What are you making?"
"Spaghetti. So I saw Anthony run out the door," she said that without turning around to look at me.
"Um yeah," I slowly walk towards her running my hand along the dining room table.
"What was that all about?"
I stop walking and stare at her with a white, piercing glare.
"I honestly don't know," I try controlling my temper,"Anyways when will dinner be ready?"
She turns around. "I know this is really bothering you," she puts her hands on my shoulders, something she never does,"I think you should probably go call him to see what's up with that."
She goes back to cooking.
I know what was wrong. I don't need to call him to ask what I did that was so wrong.
"Um yeah I guess I could go do that," I start leaving.
"Oh and dinner will be ready in about five minutes so make it quick."
Once I am finally back in my room I tidy up. I put all the CDs and stuff away.
While I was sadly sitting on the floor I get a text.
I reach over to see a million texts from Kat and one new text from Anthony.
Sorry for leaving so suddenly. Honestly it was cause I noticed the time and I had to leave or else my mom would've been so mad at me...
I can tell that is a lie even though we just met today.
I replied,"It's fine. My mom was just worrying about it..."
I read some of Kats' texts and told her what happened and told her she should sneak over, since her parents won't let her come over.
She texts me back saying she will be coming over now.
I wait for her, contemplating what had just happened with Anthony and what I should do about it next. I mean only two people know that I killed somebody.
Anthony and Kat. Kat was actually the one who helped me with it.
Kat bursts into my room smiling so much I think her cheeks would rip if she smiled anymore.
"So what happened? Tell me all the juicy details."
She notices I'm defiantly not even half as happy as her.
"What happened?" She sits on my floor by me.
"Well he found out about the you-know-what," I open the closet.
"Oh wow...um what was his reaction?" She stands by me while I get the duffel bag.
"Well he got a phone call, looked like he was gonna pass out, and ran out the door," I put the bag on my bed.
"That doesn't sound good, did he text you or anything?"
I show her the texts.
"I think it's something else. You said he went completely white, do you think maybe something bad happened at home?"
"I honestly don't know. But it was right after he found out."
She looks through the texts again, as if she could figure something else out.
"I'm so confused. Maybe we should get rid of the evidence though, just in case so if this happens again the next person won't find out."
I silently agree. Time to burn the evidence. Literally.
