THE BATTLE OF DRAGONS: Auryn and the fate of Nagendra

I rush to the stairs and almost fall. I don't know why I'm so nervous. I know that Auryn can handle herself but that man gave me a bad feeling. I arrive at the exit and start running, almost tripping. I'm sure I have some rope left in the basement. I hope my parents are sleeping. But I know that my mother is in the palace, guarding our precious queen, even though she shows weird behavior. Like sending Auryn to a impossible mission and killing the queen. Thinking about it makes me feel angsty. I finnaly reach my house, a big house made of good material. You can tell my looking at it that my family is whealty. I open the door quietly and walk towards the end of the hallway. I slowly walk down the stairs. I wonder where my father is. He may be sleeping or working in the royal blacksmith. The basement is dark as always and musty. I don't even have to search for the rope, it is on the table in front of me. I snatch it and when i plan to go back, I see Keira, my 12 years old sister, at the stairs. I totally forgot about her, as usual.

'What are you doing down there?' Keira is seen as the prettiest girl in Sirion, which is not true in my opinion. She looks like me: Long, wavy darkblonde hair and tanned skin. She also has the same eye color , light green. She looks very tired.

' Getting some rope for a friend, go back to sleep keira.' But I know she won't. Not until she gets answers.

'Why are you getting rope for a friend in the middle of the night? And you look disgusting. Have you showerd after work?'

' I only look disgusting after hard work. YOU Always look disgusting.'

' I'm telling mother and father. You won't get away with this!' She yells and then storms to her room. But the I hear the front door opening and Keira yelling for father. I immediatly put the rope in my jacket and rush to my father.

'- And then he said that I look disgusting!' Sometimes I wish i could punch Keira many times in the face.

' Our father has worked all day, he must be tired so leave him alone.'

' Yes I am, son. But what are you going to do with the rope?'

' Auryn needs it for her... Training. She is going to practice strangling people.'

' In the middle of the night?'

' You know how she is, father. sometimes she can't sleep and gets agressive.' I swear if Keira tries to deny it...

' Liar! You said you were going to give it to a "friend", not Auryn! Father he is lying!' Like I said. She tries to deny it.

'But Auryn is a friend, stupid Keira.' Now iv'e made her furious.

' Keira stop yelling and go to bed. I am too tired for this.' After he said that I rush to outside. Auryn is waiting for me.

I open her door and see her sitting on the floor, and the spy laying  unconscious. I sit down next her and say: ' I hope he deserved it.' I give her the rope. I take his arms so that Auryn can bind them. 'I have two days left before I leave. You are going to throw his body into the river,' she says with a cold voice. I can't believ what she's saying. Sometimes i get the feeling that she is not normal. She is done with the arms, now the leggs.

'How am I suposed to carry his body through the castle? I'm not capable for this.'

' I'm not the plan maker, you are Matteo. Bad things will happen if they find him in my closet.' Then I see her looking at his face, his handsome face. Mighty dragons! What am I thinking? Auryn isn't like that, perhaps she is staring at his scar.

' Alright I'll find something like I always do. What about food?'

' He'll die anyways, and there are only two days left. I'm sure the reason of his death won't be starvation.' She is ready with the leggs. I sometimes forget how evil Auryn can be. She is always kind and funny but when it comes to fighting or things like this, she switches from Auryn to Demon Auryn. It's scary.

'Where is the apple?'

'What apple?'

'You said we could put a appel in his throat and bind him with a rope.'

'First of all, I didn't say throat, and second of all, that wasn't what I meant. Use the rope crazy girl.'

She starts to smile and picks up the rope to do what I said. I don't know if she smiles because of her stupidity or because i calles er crazy.

' We need to check his pockets. Perhaps we can get some information,' She says. The only things I find are knifes, and all of them have the same symbol on it: a black fox.

' Perhaps it is his symbol,' I tell Auryn

' Or the person who sent him symbol. Help me carry him.' We carry him to auryns big closet. It shouldn't be a bad place for a prisoner.

' We can't let him starve.'

' You're right. We can't, but I can.' She wipes her hands of on her nightgown, as if she touched something nasty. I can't let Auryn starve him. Well, i'ts time for my puppy eyes. She immediatly sighs.

' You have a good heart Matteo, but he doesn't deserve it. I'll give him water and an apple for two days. Does that make you happy?'

'Yes it does Auryn. Goodnight.' I walk towards the door and hear Auryn saying goodnight, But i'm on my way to home. I realize i forgot to give Auryn the knives. But I'm too tired to go back. Now I have to make two plans for Auryn. This is the second time I want to punch someone in the face.
