"Number 1, I get the left side of the bed. No complaints." Lia demands, her eyes focused, lost in her thoughts.

We've been here for an hour or so already, mostly exploring our cute apartment and trying out the television.

The little face she makes when she sees her favourite show is just so adorable, like an excited puppy.

"I'm not against that... I don't really care which side I sleep on." I respond.

"Good."

She trails a slender fingertip down her list, eyes torn between it and glancing at me every few seconds. "Number 2, don't snore."

"Check." I roll my eyes. "Anything else your highness?"

"Don't touch my stuff." She quickly snaps back, trailing her hand over a piece of paper where she's keeping track. A small smile etches on her lips.

"I think that's it. Anything you want to make a rule?"

I ponder my response before swiftly shaking my head. "Pretty much the same things as you."

"Okay good. Glad we have similar needs." She pauses, finishing writing the last few words. "So, what now?"

I shrug. "This is your trip. What are we supposed to do?"

She leans her slim body to hover over our bed, before accepting defeat into the comfy paradise. "Just relax. Until tomorrow when I have to attend a load of meetings. Although..."

"What?" I bite my lip in curiosity.

"There is a dinner party we're supposed to attend later this evening."

I groan, the obvious disappointment displayed in my sunken voice. "Is it formal? Do we have to attend?"

"Unfortunately we do have to. I don't imagine it will be too formal though. More like just a little fun get together for employees." Lia smiles, her soft tone not failing to make my heart beat. "But it's not all bad. I actually have a surprise for you."

I sit up in eagerness, my eyes lighting up at the thought of a gift from her. "What is it?"

She grins at me, and disappears into the other room for a bit, but then reappears with a carefully wrapped box in her hands.

The box is wrapped in scarlet paper with a perfectly tied bow on the top.

"Here, open it."

"What is it?" I breathe in anticipation, gently ripping the wrapping as carefully as I can as to not ruin how beautiful it looks.
A satin material lies inside, perfectly fitted into the box, and I unfold it go reveal a long red dress to match the colour of its container.

"Do you like it?" Lia watches me carefully for my reaction. "It cost quite a lot... and I thought you could wear it for dinner tonight."

"I...I love it." I hug the gorgeous dress tight to my chest. Lia lights up at the excitement in my voice. "It's so beautiful."

The dress was one of expensive material, and looked just perfect. I hope it's going to fit me well, as it would be a waste otherwise.

"I'm so glad you like it." She scratches the back of her head nervously. "It was so expensive."

"I will definitely wear it tonight, thank you." I carefully place the clothing on my bed.

"Don't you want to try it on?" She whispers with a hint of nervousness. "I want to see how good you look in it."

Oh does she? I instantly know I'm going to have fun teasing her in this.

"Well, you're just going to have to wait until tonight." I smirk, her groaning in response.
