Lia's POV:

"Lia. Come here."

I obey, without hesitation. What's this about?

"Do you want to confess something?" He husks, seeming calm yet impatient at the same time.

My heart beats at that question. "N-No."

"I know what you did."

My face turns a deathly white, and for a moment, I lose all ability to speak and move, as if I were paralyzed.

A shaking sensation overcomes all my senses, and I'm left unable to function.

What I did. I know what I did.

"So are you going to tell me yourself?" He leans forward, his rancid breath raining down on my neck. "Or do I have to spell it out for you?"

I purse my lips, ready to explain, however no sound emits.

What's wrong with me?

"You fucking slut!" His voice penetrates all my thoughts, and I clutch my head in a whirling pain.

"Slut! Slut! Slut!" The words echo the very thing I am.

"I'm sorry." I whimper, my pleas barely audible. "Please forgive me."

"You slept with someone else." He grits his teeth. "Didn't you?"

"No..." I keep on lying, my head spinning more with guilt and dizziness. "...I didn't."

"You did. Tell me who it was. I just want to know."

He edges closer and wraps his arms around me in a sort of comforting yet strangling hug. Maybe that was what he wanted to do to me. Strangle me. Have me gone.

"Come on, I'm not going to get angry, I just need to know who it was."

When I don't muster a reply, he rips himself off me. "TELL ME WHO IT WAS!"

I sob. I never sob. But somehow, tears are spilling down my face. The last time this happened was when I met Aurora at the party.

Aurora...

I wish she was here.

"I told you, I didn't sleep with anyone!" I whisper, sobs muffling my speech.

"Liar."

"Liar."

"Liar. You're lying!"

He crawls on top of me, his hand gripping onto my neck slightly. "Tell me."

I choke at the interaction, the unbearable feeling of being unable to breathe clawing at me.

"FINE! I DID! Are you happy now?!" I scream. "But she treats me like a human, unlike you!"

He remains speechless for a bit, like he's trying to absorb what I just told him.

Then a sort of strangled cry escapes his throat, as his hand encloses on my throat more, until I actually can't breathe this time.

---

With a muffled gasp, my eyes dart open. My whole body is shaking violently, and even drops of sweat are forming.

What was that?

I breathe a sigh of relief as I look around and realize it was just a dream.

For now...

I clutch my face, guilt seeping throughout me, and I start to cry silently against the bed sheets.
